Old Heath Road (D3887) Weybridge Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 28 February 2024 Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) & (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Old Heath Road (D3887) Weybridge which extends from the roundabout with Heath Road (B374) for 30m westward. The effect of this order will be suspending the entire length of Old Heath Road (D3887) Weybridge Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2022. Alternative Route – Old Heath Road (D3887) and Heath Road (B374) or the same route in reverse. The Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works which is anticipated to be completed within 2 nights, between 10:00pm and 5:00am, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 4 March 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians, emergency vehicles, residents and cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Queens Street (D3246) Ashford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 28 February 2024 Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Queens Street (D3246) Ashford which extends from the eastern property boundary line of “10 Queen Street” to the western property boundary line of “4 Clarendon Road”. Alternative Route – Queen Street (D3246), Station Road (C240) and Clarendon Road (D3246) or the same route in reverse. The Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works which is anticipated to be completed within 3 days, between 9:30am and 3:30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 6 March 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians, emergency vehicles, residents and cyclists will be maintained at all times.

A322 Woodbridge Road, Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 28 February 2024 Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of A322 Woodbridge Road, Guildford that is crossed by the “Woodbridge Road, Railway Bridge” and for a distance of 20m either side. This Traffic Order is required to enable Network Rail to carry out a detailed bridge inspection and/or maintenance and/or improvement works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 9pm and 5am, within 1 night of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 12 March 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Alternative route: – Woodbridge Road, Ladymead, Parkway, London Road, York Road and Woodbridge Road.

Holroyd Road (D6847) Claygate Temporary Prohibition of Waiting Loading and Unloading Order 2024
On 28 February 2024 Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Order under Sections 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit waiting, loading, and unloading at any time, by vehicles on both sides of the carriageway in that length of Holroyd Road (D6847) Claygate as extends from a point in line with the common boundary between No.25 and No.27 Holroyd Road to its point in line with the common boundary between No.31 and No.33 Holroyd Road. This Temporary Order is required to facilitate gas mains utility works for, or on behalf of SGN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 weeks during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which commences on 11 March 2024. This temporary restriction, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed and only to such extent as indicated by those traffic signs. Exemptions apply for vehicles when waiting because they are required by law to stop, are obliged to stop in order to prevent an accident or are prevented from proceeding because of circumstances outside the drivers control and in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or of a civil enforcement officer will apply when the temporary restrictions are in force. (N.B. Disabled persons displaying a disabled blue badge will not be exempt from the temporary waiting restriction).

Queens Road (D3898) Walton On Thames Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 28 February 2024 Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Queens Road (D3898) Walton On Thames as extends from its junction with (D3850) Primrose Road to its junction with (C152) Burwood Road. Alternative Route: Burwood Road, Green Lane, and Queens Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate replacement sewer cover works for, or on behalf of Thames Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day between the hours of 10am and 3pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 15 March 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.

Various Roads in Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.1) 2024
On 28 February 2024 Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to (a) temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice; and (b) suspend “The Surrey County Council The Street (C41) West Horsley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in part (4) of the Schedule to this Notice. This Order is required to facilitate detailed bridge inspection works for, or on behalf of Network Rail. These works will be carried out in 4 phases, over 1 night for each phase, (1) and (2) will be between the hours of 9pm and 5am, and (3) and (4) will be between the hours of 9.30pm and 5am within 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 13 March 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.

Alternative Route: (B2234) New Inn Lane, (A3100) London Road, (A25) Boxgrove Road, (A25) Epsom Road, (B2234) Park Lane, and (B2234) Merrow Lane, or this route in reverse. (3) that length of Boxgrove Road (A25) that is crossed under the bridge known as “Boxgrove Road Bridge” (NGL 15/41) and for a distance of 15 metres either side. Alternative Route: (A25) Boxgrove Road, (A3100) London Road, (A246) Waterden Road, (A246) Epsom Road, and (A25) Boxgrove Road, or this route in reverse. (4) that length of The Street (C41) West Horsley that is crossed under the bridge known as “The Street West Horsley Bridge” (NGL 15/30) and for a distance of 15 metres either side. Westway (D4001) Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 28 February 2024 Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Westway (D4001) Guildford as extends from its junction with (D4001) Aldershot Road to its junction with (D4001) Hillspur Road (b) Westway (D4001) Guildford as extends from its junction with (D4001) Hillspur Road to its junction with (D4001) Woodside Road; and (c) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Westway (D4001) Guildford and Aldershot Road (D4001) Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023”; and (d) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Westway (D4001) Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2023 insofar as it affects that length of road specified in part (a and b) of this Notice.
The Order is required to facilitate – (1) Electrical utility works/and or maintenance works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Connect IT Utility Services. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days between the hours of 8am and 5pm commencing 11 March 2024. Alternative Route: Westway, Southway, and (A323) Aldershot Road or this route in reverse. (2) Replacement telegraph pole works and/or utility maintenance works to be carried out by, or on behalf of BT Openreach. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm commencing 27 March 2024. Alternative Route: Hillspur Road and Woodside Road. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible within the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Traffic Order which commence on 11 March 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. For part (a) and part (b) Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.

Farncombe Street (D98) Godalming Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 28 February 2024 Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Farncombe Street (D98) Godalming as extends from its junction with (D5401) Farncombe Hill to its junction with (D5402) Nightingale Road. Alternative Route: Nightingale Road, Deanery Road, Charterhouse Road, Twycross Road, and Farncombe Hill, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate sewer cleaning works for, or on behalf of Lanes Group PLC. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 13 March 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.

Various Roads in Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024
On 28 February 2024 Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate resurfacing of carriageway and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 4 March 2024. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.

On 28 February 2024 Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 – Section 14 (1)

Extension to the Surrey County Council Ewhurst Road (B2127) Cranleigh Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
The “Surrey County Council Ewhurst Road (B2127) Cranleigh Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” which was made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, on the grounds that works were being or proposed to be executed on, or near, the above-mentioned roads and came into operation on 01 April 2023 was due to expire on 31 March 2024 and which prohibited vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Ewhurst Road (B2127) Cranleigh as extends from its junction with (D664) St Nicolas Avenue to its junction with (D188) New Park Road has been extended until 30 September 2024. This temporary traffic order is required to allow highway improvement works to be carried out by or on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible within the additional 6 month period of operation of this Temporary Traffic Order which commenced on 01 April 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. All other traffic will be required to follow the alternative route described above.

Footpath from Woodbridge Road to D4003 Woodbridge Meadows Rights of Way route 6 (T7080), Guildford Temporary Closure Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any person from entering or proceeding in the entire length of the footpath from Woodbridge Road to D4003 Woodbridge Meadows – Rights of Way route 6 (T7080), Guildford. This Traffic Order is required to enable Network Rail to safely carry out inspections and/or repairs and/or maintenance works to the “River Wey Footbridge”. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 7am and 7pm within 6 weeks of the 6 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 18 March 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary prohibition which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services and pedestrians will be maintained via the footway to A322 Woodbridge Road, A25 Woodbridge Road and D4003 Woodridge Meadows.

Ewhurst Road (B2127) and St Nicholas Avenue (D664) Cranleigh Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council Propose to Make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of (a) Ewhurst Road (B2127) Cranleigh as extends from its junction with (D919) Dewlands Lane to its junction with (D664) St Nicholas Avenue; and (b) St Nicholas Avenue (D664) Cranleigh as extends from its junction with (B2127) Ewhurst Road northwards for a distance of 30 metres. Alternative Routes – (1) Ewhurst Road; Horsham Road; Somersbury Lane; The Green; Cranleigh Road; and Bookhurst Road or this same route in reverse; and (2) St Nicholas Avenue; Parsonage Road, Rowland Road and High Street or this same route in reverse. This Order, which will commence on 01 April 2024 for a period of 18 months is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the said roads, to be carried out by or on behalf of Surrey County Council, including but not limited to: highway improvement works and/or pedestrian crossing installation and/or carriageway resurfacing and/or major highway maintenance works. The closures are not anticipated to be implemented for the whole of the 18-month period of operation of this Order but only as necessitated by the works. Works are anticipated to take place between the hours of 7pm and 7am. Advanced warning signs will be displayed; and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, as will access for emergency service vehicles in an emergency situation only. Vehicular access for residents and businesses will be maintained only when safe to do so, if necessary, via the diversion route. During certain phases of the works, vehicular access to premises may be restricted, when this is the case such restriction of access will apply for no more than eight hours within any 24-hour period.

Fairmile Lane (C157) Cobham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Fairmile Lane (C157) Cobham as extends from its junction with (D6857) Fairbourne to its junction with (D6880) Leigh Hill Road. Alternative Route: Leigh Hill Road, (A245) Stoke Road, (A45) Mill Road, (A245) High Street, (A245) Between Streets, (A307) Portsmouth Road, and Fairmile Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate electrical utility works for, or on behalf of UKPN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 days between the hours of 8am and 6pm within 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 30 March 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. It will not be possible to maintain access through the closure for emergency services, residents and businesses and all vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.

Cheselden Road (D4014) Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Cheselden Road (D4014) Guildford. Alternative Route: (1) Harvey Road, Bright Hill, and Sydenham Road; and (2) Sydenham Road, Jenner Road, and Harvey Road. This Order is required to facilitate underground utility works for, or on behalf of Road Traffic Solutions. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 days between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 25 March 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.

Commercial Road (D3292) Staines Upon Thames Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Commercial Road (D3292) Staines Upon Thames as extends from its junction with (B376) Laleham Road to its junction with (D3292) Parkside Place. Alternative Route: Commercial Road, Worple Road, and (B376) Laleham Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate gas mains replacement works for, or on behalf of Morrison Energy Services. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 weeks between the hours of 8am and 4.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 25 March 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.

Brighton Road (B2130) Godalming Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Brighton Road (B2130) Godalming as extends from its junction with (A3100) Flambard Way to its junction with (D5427) Croft Road. Alternative Route: (B2130) Brighton Road, The Drive, Park Road, Tuesley Lane, Shackstead Lane, (A3100) Ockford Road, (A3100) Flambard Way, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate new drainage connection works for, or on behalf of Natta Building Company. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 17 days between the hours of 7am and 5pm within 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 29 March 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route.

Alfold Road (D182) Cranleigh Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Alfold Road (D182) Cranleigh as extends from its junction with (X68796) Tuckers Drive to its junction with (X11306) Lorimer Avenue. Alternative Route: Alfold Road, (B2130) Elmbridge Road, (A281) Horsham Road, (A281) Guildford Road, and Alfold Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate mains water and foul water connection works for, or on behalf of Walker Construction (UK) Ltd. These works are anticipated to be carried out in 4 phases within 6 weeks between the hours of 8am and 5pm within 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 26 March 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route.
