(Rochford District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) (Amendment No.15) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Sections 23, 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2), 4(1), 4(2), 32(1), 35(1), 45, 46, 49, 53 and Part III & IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
Effect of the order: To revoke and amend 'No Waiting at Any Time' restrictions for the implementation of a proposed zebra crossing on the following lengths of road, Rayleigh, in the District of Rochford.
1. To Revoke: 'No Stopping Mon-Fri 8am-9am and 2.30pm-4pm On Entrance Markings' 'School Keep Clear Markings,' on the following length of road, Rayleigh, in the District of Rochford.
Road - Description
Little Wheatley Chase, Rayleigh - WESTERN SIDE: from a point approximately 2.5 metres south from the shared boundary line of properties No. 37 and 39 in a southerly direction for a distance of approximately 43 metres.
2. To Revoke: 'No Waiting Mon-Fri 8am-9am and 2.45pm-3.45pm' restrictions, on the following length of road, Rayleigh, in the District of Rochford.
Road - Description
Little Wheatley Chase, Rayleigh - WESTERN SIDE: From the kerb line of the southern access into Our Lady of Ransom Primary School north for a distance of approximately 8.5 metres. EASTERN SIDE: From a point approximately 5 metres south of the shared boundary line of properties No. 37 and 35 in a southerly direction for a distance of approximately 42 metres.
1. To Implement: 'No Waiting at Any Time' restrictions, on the following length of road, Rayleigh, in the District of Rochford.
Road - Description
Little Wheatley Chase, Rayleigh - WESTERN SIDE: Approximately 38 metres south from the southern kerb line of the southern access into Our Lady of Ransom Primary School north for approximately 10 metres.
4. To Implement: A 'Zebra Crossing', on the following length of road, Rayleigh, in the District of Rochford.
The centre line of the crossing: Centred on existing dropped kerb crossing outside Our Lady of Ransom Primary School, approximately 13 metres south of the southern kerb line of the southern access into Our Lady of Ransom Primary School.
Width between the crossing give way lines: Approximately 6.5 metres.
Zigzags: Approximately 16 metres each side of the crossing for the width of the road.
This Order will be incorporated into The Essex County Council (Rochford) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019 by substituting map tiles: TQ790 915 Revision 1 to Revision 2.
Date of operation: The Order will come into operation on 04 March 2024.

Application to the high court: Anyone who wishes to question the validity of the Order of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from the date of the making of the Order apply to the High Court for this purpose.
(Barnards Avenue, Canvey Island) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Barnards Avenue, Canvey Island in the Borough of Castle Point, from a point approximately 35m north west of its junction with Mitchells Avenue for a distance of approximately 25m in a north westerly then northerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 2nd April 2024 for 14 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EN013302754AA - Essex And Suffolk Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while concrete reinstatement works are undertaken by Essex and Suffolk Water.
No alternative route is available.
The Order will come into effect on 7th March 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Charlotte Avenue, Wickford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Charlotte Avenue, Wickford in the Borough of Basildon, from a point approximately 20m south of its junction with Reeds Way for a distance of approximately 40m in a southerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 25th March 2024 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ7031001307390 -Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new gas connection works are undertaken by Cadent.
An alternative route is available via Reeds Way and vice versa (with access only into Charlotte Avenue).
The Order will come into effect on 7th March 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Rectory Road, Hawkwell/Rochford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Rectory Road, Hawkwell/Rochford in the District of Rochford, from a point approximately 25m north west of the junction with Magnolia Road for a distance of approximately 45m in a south westerly direction (20m either side of the railway bridge). The closure is scheduled to commence on 25th March 2024 for 1 night (23:00-06:00), or where stated on a valid permit (KL701SSV-37-40-250324 -Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while bridge examination works are undertaken by Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd.
An alternative route is available via Rectory Road, Ashingdon Road, Hall Road, Hall Road Roundabout, Hall Road, Rectory Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 7th March 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Various Roads, Borough of Basildon) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway & Temporary Introduction of a 30mph Speed Limit) (No.11) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of road in the Borough of Basildon as specified in the schedule to this Order.
2. To temporarily introduce a 30mph speed limit in that length of road in the Borough of Basildon as specified in the schedule to this Order.
3. A temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on that length of road as specified in the schedule for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping restriction will be in force.
4. "The Essex County Council (Basildon Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above length of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 7th March 2024, exact dates will be specified on one.network. The road will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road. (Norsey Road, Billericay) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Norsey Road, Billericay in the District of Basildon, from its junction with Parklands to its junction with Jacksons Lane a distance of approximately 75m in a south westerly direction.
2. To temporarily close that length of Norsey Road, Billericay in the District of Basildon, from its junction with Jacksons Lane to its junction with St Andrews Drive a distance of approximately 55m in a south westerly direction.
3. To temporarily close that length of Norsey Road, Billericay in the District of Basildon, from its junction with St Andrews Drive to its junction with Highland Grove a distance of approximately 90m in a south westerly direction.
4. To temporarily close that length of Norsey Road, Billericay in the District of Basildon, from its junction with Highland Grove to its junction with Crown Road a distance of approximately 185m in a south westerly direction.
5. To temporarily close that length of Norsey Road, Billericay in the District of Basildon, from its junction with Crown Road to its junction with High Street a distance of approximately 60m in a south westerly direction.
The phased closures are scheduled to commence from the 8th January 2024 for 145 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ5021001294839 - Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains replacement works are undertaken by Cadent.
Alternative routes are available via:

(Various Roads, Basildon) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) (Streetworks No.1) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close those lengths of road in the Borough of Basildon as detailed in the Schedule.
The works are scheduled to commence after 22nd February 2024, as stated on a valid permit. The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one. Network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.
The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains replacement works are undertaken by Cadent Gas.
The Order came into effect on 22nd February 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

Effect of the order: A temporary "No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above lengths of roads to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.
