What is happening?

Essex County Council

(Byway 28, Stapleford Abbotts) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close Byway 28, Stapleford Abbotts in the District of Epping Forest, from Murthering Lane predominately north for 1300 metres to Top View Farm, the entire length.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 02 March 2024 for 6 months or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while refurbishment of the Byway surface is undertaken.

No alternative route available, access for residents to be maintained as applicable. The Order will come into effect on 02 March 2024 and may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Epping Road, Stanford Rivers) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Epping Road, Stanford Rivers in the District Epping Forest, from a point approximately 110m west of its junction with Hill Crest Road for a distance of approximately 315m in a westerly then north westerly then south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 28th March 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WD9WF60B - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while overhead structure works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Epping Road, School Road, Toot Hill Road, Greensted Road, The Borough, Coopers Hill, Stanford Rivers Road, Romford Road, London Road, Epping Lane, Mount Road, Mount End Road and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 7th March 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Church Road, High Laver) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Church Road, High Laver in the District of Epping Forest, from a point approximately 290m from its junction with High Laver Road for a distance of approximately 100m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 14th March 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30002531106 - UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while tree cutting works are undertaken by UK Power Networks. An alternative route is available via Mill Lane, Harlow Road, High Laver Road and vice versa (with access only into Church Road). The Order will come into effect on 22nd February 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Cottis Lane & Bakers Lane, Epping) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close that length of Bakers Lane, Epping in the District of Epping Forest, from a point approximately 50m north east of its junction with St Johns Road for a distance of approximately 55m in a north easterly then north westerly direction.

2. To temporarily close that length of Cottis Lane, Epping in the District of Epping Forest, from its junction with Bakers Lane for a distance of approximately 100m in a south easterly then south westerly direction.

The closures are scheduled to commence on 5th March 2024 for 10 nights

(20:00-05:30), or where stated on a valid permit (EP02231010283 - Walker

Construction). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate

signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closures are required for

the safety of the public and workforce while footway and carriageway

resurfacing works are undertaken by Walker Construction.

An alternative route is available via Bakers Lane, Cottis Lane, Lincolns Field,

Coronation Hill, St Johns Road, High Street and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 29th February 2024 and may continue in force

for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Green Lane, North Weald Bassett) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Green Lane, North Weald Bassett in the District of Epping Forest, from its junction with Foster Street for a distance of approximately 150m in south easterly then southerly direction and then from a point approximately 180m south west of its junction with Threshers Bush for a distance of approximately 140m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 11th March 2024 for 44 days (works to be completed in 2 phases), or where stated on a valid permit (MX047GREENLANE-RC1 - MX047GREENLANE-RC2 - Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains renewal works are undertaken by Affinity Water. An alternative route is available via Foster Street, Hobbs Cross Road, Green Lane and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 22nd February 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Housham Tye Road, Matching) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Housham Tye Road, Matching in the District of Epping Forest, from a point approximately 120m south west then south east of its junction with Harlow Road for a distance of approximately 120m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 11th March 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30047229777 - UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while tree cutting works are undertaken by UK Power Networks. An alternative route is available via Church Green, Carters Green, Harlow Road and vice versa (with access only into Housham Tye Road). The Order will come into effect on 22nd February 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Laundry Lane, Nazeing) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Laundry Lane, Nazeing in the District of Epping Forest, from a point approximately 145m north west of its junction with Waltham Road for a distance of approximately 470m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 11th March 2024 for 12 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30070607503 - UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

An alternative route is available via Waltham Road, St Leonards Road, Laundry Lane and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 22nd February 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Mott Street, Waltham Abbey) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Mott Street, Waltham Abbey in the District of Epping Forest, from a point approximately 230m south east of its junction with Sewardstone Road for a distance of approximately 45m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 16th March 2024 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ7011001303916 - Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new gas connection works are undertaken by Cadent. An alternative route is available via Mott Street, Sewardstone Road, Avey Lane, Pynest Green Lane, Church Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 22nd February 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Various Roads, District of Epping Forest) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) (No.2) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close that length of road in the District of Epping Forest as specified in the schedule to this Order.

2. A temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above length of road to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping restriction will be in force.

"The Essex County Council (Epping Forest District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force. The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 22nd February 2024, exact dates will be specified on one.network. The road will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion route will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.
