Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
THANET AREA
A28 Canterbury Road, Westgate (PROHIBITION OF PARKING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow roadworks to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit parking on part of A28 Canterbury Road, Westgate, on or after 11th March 2024 for up to 549 days or until the works have been completed.
Parking will be prohibited, from Hundreds Farm to Domneva bus stop. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
A254 Ramsgate Road, Margate, CT9 1LG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A254 Ramsgate Road, Margate, on or after 27th March 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction with A254 Queens Avenue, between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A254 Ramsgate Road, B2052 College Road, A255 St Peters Road and A255 Ramsgate Road.
Alland Grange Lane, Minster (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Alland Grange Lane, Minster, on or after 11th March 2024 for up to 6 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction with B2190 Spitfire Way, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Alland Grange Lane, B2050 Manston Road, B2190 Spitfire Way and vice versa.
Chapel Place, Ramsgate, CT11 9SA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow roadworks to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic & pedestrians on part of Chapel Place, Ramsgate, on or after 11th March 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Chapel Place and Elms Avenue, between the hours of 07:00 and 15:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Chapel Place, Elms Avenue, Cannon Road, High Street and vice versa.
Pedestrians will be prohibited between the junctions of Chapel Place Lane and Elms Avenue, between the hours of 07:00 and 15:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any pedestrian through traffic is via Chapel Place, High Street, Meeting Street and vice versa.
Charlesworth Drive, Birchington, CT7 9XQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Charlesworth Drive, Birchington, on or after 15th March 2024 for up to 22 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Edenfield and Barrington Crescent. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Charlesworth Drive, Sutherland Drive, The Parkway and vice versa.
High Street, Margate (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of High Street, Margate, on or after 11th March 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction with Shottendane Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via High Street, A28 Canterbury Road, Minster Road, Shottendane Road and vice versa.
Marsh Farm Road, Ramsgate (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Marsh Farm Road, Ramsgate, on or after 12th March 2024 for up to 15 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the bridge. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.
Mutrix Road, Margate, CT9 5JQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Mutrix Road, Margate, on or after 11th March 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Bridge Road and Old Crossing Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Mutrix Road, Old Crossing Road, A28 Canterbury Road, Bridge Road and vice versa.
St Lukes Avenue, Ramsgate, CT11 7DR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow sewer works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of St Lukes Avenue, Ramsgate, on or after 25th March 2024 for up to 14 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from number 12 to the junction with Denmark Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Denmark Road, A255 Boundary Road, Hardres Road and vice versa.
Thanet Road, Broadstairs, CT10 1NE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Thanet Road, Broadstairs, on or after 13th March 2024 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from number 9 to number 11. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Thanet Road, Prospect Place, B2052 High Street, B2052 Albion Street and vice versa.
Wrotham Road, Broadstairs, CT10 1PA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water works to be carried out Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Wrotham Road, Broadstairs, on or after 11th March 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 13. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A255 Ramsgate Road, Granville Road, Queens Gardens, Victoria Parade, Wrotham Road and vice versa.
