SPENCER STREET, BARNSLEY
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
An order has been made to close Spencer Street, for a distance of 20 metres either side of house number 20, from 5 March 2024 for approximately five days.
Reason: Install new water supply.
An alternative route is available via: Park Grove/Park Road/St Johns Road.

NEW ROAD, STAINCROSS
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
An order has been made to close New Road, for a distance of 20 metres from the junction with Greenside, from 5 March 2024 for approximately three days.
Reason: Water service renewal.

An order has been made to close Beaumont Street from Sheffield Road to Allott Street, from 7 March 2024 for approximately three days.
Reason: Renew fire hydrant.
An alternative route is available via: Sheffield Road/Fitzwilliam Street/Allott Street.

LEE LANE, ROYSTON
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND 20 MPH SPEED RESTRICTION
An order will be made to introduce a 20 mph speed restriction and an intermittent road closure on Lee Lane, from Wakefield Road to the roundabout, from 11 March 2024 for approximately six months
Reason: Carriageway resurfacing works and replacement of road studs.
An alternative route is available via: Wakefield Road/Laithes Lane/Carlton Road/Royston Lane/Church Street/High Street.

ROTHERHAM ROAD, MIDDLECLIFFE
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
An order will be made to close Rotherham Road, Middlecliffe, between Rotherham Road Roundabout and Cathill Roundabout from 10 March 2024, overnight only for approximately 5 nights. Road to be closed on Sunday from 1800 to 0600 and weeknights from 2000 to 0600.
Reason: Highway improvement works.
An alternative route is available via: Park Spring Road/Engine Lane/Collier Road/Cudworth Parkway/Pontefract Road/Grange Lane/Stairfoot Roundabout/Doncaster Road.

LANGSETT FOOTPATH 13, HUNSHELF FOOTPATHS 34 AND 35 AND LITTLE DON TRAIL (PART)
TEMPORARY CLOSURE
The Secretary of State has authorised an extension for a further 6 months to close Langsett footpath no.13 from the A616 to Cranberry Road. Hunshelf footpath no. 34 from the A616 to its junction with Langsett footpath no.13. Hunshelf footpath no. 35 from Underbank reservoir embankment to the A616 and part of the Little Don Trail running to the south of Equitrek for a further 6 months.
Reason: Construction of new pedestrian and equestrian crossings on the A616 and associated footpath, bridleway and carriageway improvements.
