TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE CHURCH LANE UNASSOCIATED FOOTWAY, BARTON MILLS

Suffolk County Council Intends to make an order closing the Church Lane Unassociated Footway, Barton Mills from the Footway at the side of number 30 to Church Lane to facilitate trenching to lay and connect new service cable. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Footway at the side of number 30, Manor View Footway, Church Lane Footway and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 11/03/2024 -15/03/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1077 WESTERFIELD ROAD, IPSWICH

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the B1077 Westerfield Road, Ipswich from the A1214 Valley Road to Tuddenham Road to facilitate carriageway resurfacing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1077, the A1156, the A1214 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 8pm on the 01/03/2024 - 5am on 02/03/2024. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U4630 SANDFORD ROAD, OLD NEWTON

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U4630 Sandford Road, Old Newton from number 4 for 75 metres south westbound to provide a safe working area for telegraph works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Sandford Road, School Road, Chapel Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 01/03/2024 from 9.30am - 3.30pm but, if necessary,

the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1113 STOWUPLAND ROAD, THE B1115 STOWMARKET ROAD AND MORTIMER ROAD, STOWMARKET AND STOWUPLAND

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads to facilitate carriageway resurfacing:

l. The B1113 Stowupland Road, Stowmarket

2. The B1115 Stowmarket Road, Stowupland from the roundabout with the B1113 to Thomey Green Road

3. The B1115 Mortimer Road, Stowmarket from Stowupland Road to Sandpiper Road.

Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion routes will be:

1 and 2. The B1113, the A143, the A140, the A1120, the B1115 and vice versa.

3. The B1115, the A1308, Station Road East, Stowupland Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 7pm on 01/03/2024 - 6am on 02/03/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY 30MPH SPEED RESTRICTION ON PART OF THE C685 BURY ROAD AND U7413 BELLS LANE, STANNINGFIELD AND GREAT WHELNETHAM

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order for a temporary 30 mph speed restriction on the:

• C685 Bury Road, Stanningfield from 593 metres south of the junction with Bells Lane and 474 metres north of the junction with Bells Lane

• U7413 Bells Lane, Great Whelnetham from the junction with Bury Road for 536 metres westbound.

This is to facilitate the safety of operatives and highway users. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

It is intended that this measure will operate from 10/03/2024 - 11/08/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U5522 Wellington Road, Eye from 26 metres east of Old Brew House Court for 20 metres southbound to facilitate a new water connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Church Street, Broad Street, the B1077 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 11/03/2024 -12/03/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C466 ELM LANE, COPDOCK AND WASHBROOK

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C466 Elm Lane, Copdock and Washbrook from no. 1 to no. 7 to facilitate a new gas connection, other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Elm Lane, London Road Former A12, Chapel Lane, The Street, Back Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 11/03/2024 from 8am until 5pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U8022 BRADFIELD ST GEORGE ROAD, BRADFIELD ST CLARE

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U8022 Bradfield St George Road, Bradfield St Clare from 120 metres east of the junction with Bury Road for 45 metres easfbound to facilitate the laying of a new water pipeline. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Bury Road, Bradfield St Clare, Lower Green, Bury Road, Bradfield St George, Hollybush Comer, Felsham Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 11/03/2024 - 22/03/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U7418 WHEPSTEAD ROAD, THE U7417 STRAIGHT ROAD, THE U7420 FOLLY LANE AND THE U7419 BRANDS LANE, HAWSTEAD, WHEPSTEAD AND LAWSHALL

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads will be closed to motor vehicles:

• the U7418 Whepstead Road, Hawstead from the junction with Brands Lane for 130 metres northbound.

• the U7417 Straight Road, Whepstead from the junction with Whepstead Road for 30 metres westbound.

• the U7420 Folly Lane, Lawshall from the junction with Whepstead Road for 30 metres southbound.

• the U7419 Brands Lane, Hawstead from the junction with Whepstead Road for 30 metres south eastbound.

This is to facilitate the installation of a new water main. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Bull Lane, Church Road, Bury Road, Lawshall Road, Bury Road, Hartest Lane, Golden Lane, Tuffields Road, the B1066 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 11/03/2024 - 22/03/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U7058 Baxters Green, Wickhambrook from The Cottage for 50 metres south eastbound to facilitate pole replacement works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Baxters Green, Chapel Road, Ladys Green, Bury Road, Ousden Road, The Green, Wickhambrook Road, Baxters Green and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 11/03/2024 from 9.30am - 3.30pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U7433 CHAPEL ROAD, BRADFIELD COMBUST

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U7433 Chapel Road. Bradfield Combust from the junction with Main Road for 225 metres north eastbound to facilitate overhead cabling works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Chapel Road, Hoggards Green, Bury Road, Stanningfield Road, the A134 Sudbury Road, the A134 Main Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 11/03/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND 40MPH SPEED RESTRICTION ON PART OF THE U8511 HADLEIGH HEATH AND STACKWOOD ROAD AND THE A1071 CORAM STREET, POLSTEAD

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U8511 Hadleigh Heath, Polstead and the U8511 Stackwood Road, Polstead to facilitate drainage improvement works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be available for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Straight Road, Potash Lane, Holt Road, the A1071 and vice versa.

For the duration of this closure there will be a temporary 40mph speed restriction on the A1071 Coram Street, Polstead from 700 metres east of the junction with Hadleigh Heath to 500 metres west of the junction with Hadleigh Heath.

This order continues in force the emergency measures operating since 26/02/2024.

It is intended that these measures will operate until 15/03/2024, but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U3518 OTLEY ROAD, FRAMSDEN

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U3518 Otley Road, Framsden from 283 metres east of the junction with Bastings Hall Road for 30 metres eastbound to facilitate a new water connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Otley Road, Cretingham and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 12/03/2024 - 14/03/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C465 WOODLANDS ROAD, RAYDON

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C465 Woodlands Road, Raydon from 625 metres northeast of Clay Lane for 40 metres north eastbound to facilitate laying a water pipeline. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1070, Station Road, Pond Hall Road, Clay Hill and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 11/03/2024 - 22/03/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF FOOTPATH 8A, BRAMFORD

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing Footpath 8A, Bramford from the junction with Tye Lane for 50 metres northbound to facilitate access for heavy goods vehicles. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 01/03/2024 - 01/09/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 6 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U8418 Semer Road, Nedging with Naughton from 530 metres south of the junction with New Road for 50 metres southbound to facilitate laying a water pipeline. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be New Road, Naughton Road, The Street, Semer Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 11/03/2024 - 22/03/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U2334 King Street, Aldeburgh from the junction with Crag Path for 65 metres southbound and the U2234 Crag Path, Aldeburgh from the junction with King Street for 20 metres eastbound then 20 metres southbound to facilitate the installation of a new electrical service. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Beechside, Hertford Place, High Street, Crabble Street and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 11/03/2024 - 22/03/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U3126 FLEETWOOD ROAD AND CROUTEL ROAD AND THE U3130 ST ANDREWS ROAD, FELIXSTOWE

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads in the following phases:

1. U3126 Fleetwood Road, Felixstowe from the junction with St Andrews Road to the junction with High Road East

2. U3126 Croutel Road, Felixstowe from the junction with St Andrews Road to the junction with Brook Lane

3. U3130 St Andrews Road, Felixstowe from the junction with Croutel Road to the junction with Constable Road.

This is to facilitate a gas mains replacement. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion routes will be:

1. High Road East, Hamilton Road, St Andrews Road and vice versa

2. High Road East, Hamilton Road, St Andrews Road and vice versa

3. Quitter Road, Brook Lane, Croutel Road and vice versa.

Suffolk County Council proposes to make the above order under Sections 1,2 and 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which would substitute revision 2 of Map Tile GJ122 and GK122 as amended, in place of revision 1 of the same Map Tile and revision 3 of Map Tile GK123 and GL123 as amended, in place of revision 2 of the same Map Tile into the above-named 2019 order and Schedule 7 of the 2019 order shall be amended accordingly The effect of the order will be to introduce:

• Tower Street (Z5U1004) (East), Ipswich. 2 bays running parallel to Church wall opposite property No 13-17 Tower Street. First bay opposite No.13 starts 106 metres south of thejunction with Tower Ramparts for 5.5 metres. Second bay opposite No. 15 -17 starts from 76 metres south of the junction with Tower Ramparts for 24 metres.

Exemptions to the waiting restrictions allow a vehicle to wait for so long as is necessary to board or alight or to load and unload; for building, industrial or demolition works; for the maintenance of the road or its services; and for fulfilling statutory duties. There are the usual exemptions for Blue Badge holders.

Suffolk County Council previously consulted on this proposal between 19/01/2024 and 09/02/2024. Any representations received during the initial consultation will still be considered at the end of the current consultation period.

A copy of the draft order and plans showing the road affected, together with a copy of the Council's reasons for this proposal, may be seen with advance notice at the address below, 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday; also at County Library, No Street, Ipswich IP1 3DE, 9am - 6pm Monday; 9am - 7pm Tuesday; 9am- 6pm Wednesday and Thursday; 9am - 7pm Friday; 8.30am - 5pm Saturday; and 10am - 4pm Sunday.
