What is happening?

Temporary Closure of Benville Lane, Corscombe

DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along BENVILLE LANE, CORSCOMBE between its junction with Oak Lane and its junction with Horsey Knap, a distance of approximately 2020 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation between 0930 and 1530 on 21 March 2024 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 28 March 2024.

This Order will enable Multevo Ltd, safe access to carry out carriageway maintenance to include kerbing, signposts and iron works.

An alternative vehicular route will be signed using; C38 - Cattistock Road - A356.

Temporary Closure of Various Roads, Weymouth

DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along VARIOUS ROADS, WEYMOUTH, as listed below. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 4 March 2024 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 13 March 2024. This Order will enable Kiely Brothers safe access to carry out surfacing works.

Locations: Marley Close, Preston/Blenheim Road/Stirling Road/Clarendon Avenue/Greenway Close/Westbourne Road/Moorside Close/Reed View Close/Arlington/Beaulieu/Farm Close/Field Barn Drive/Marina Gardens/ Courtauld Drive/Belfield Park Avenue/Belfield Close/Buxton Close/Lydwell Close/Broughton Crescent, Wyke Regis/South Road, Wyke Regis/Marlborough Avenue, Wyke Regis/High Street, Wyke Regis. A locally signed diversion will be in place.

The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 4 March 2024 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 9 August 2024. This Order will enable SGN, safe access to relay and decommission gas main. The effect of the Order will be;

[1] To impose temporary road closure on Herringston Road at the grass triangle between its junctions with South Court Avenue and Herringston Road. Between 26 February 2024 and 26 April 2024.

[2] To impose temporary road closure on South Court Avenue between its junction with Maumbury Road and no. 26. Between 4 March 2024 and 31 March 2024.

[3] To impose temporary road closure on Rothesay Road between its junctions with Monmouth Road and South Court Avenue. Between 4 March 2024 and 31 March 2024.

[4] To impose temporary road closure on Maumbury Road between its junctions with Weymouth Avenue and Herringston Road. Between 2 April 2024 and 12 April 2024.

[5] To impose temporary road closure on Edward Road between its junctions with Weymouth Avenue and Coburg Road. Between 24 July 2024 and 9 August 2024.

[6] To impose temporary clearway on Edward Road between its junction with Maud Road and St Marys Church on both sides of carriageway. Between 24 July 2024 and 9 August 2024.

An alternative vehicular route will be signed for each closure.

Temporary Traffic Management Order of North Quay, Weymouth

DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 14 March 2024 and will remain in force for 18 months. This Order will enable Dorset Council safe access to carry out emergency works to the harbour wall. The effect of this Notice is as follows;

[1] To impose temporary eastbound lane closure on North Quay for the extent of the bus lane on the westbound lane, to provide safe pedestrian access.

Please be advised that all westbound traffic will utilise the bus lane.
