What is happening?

Temporary Closure of C68, Loders

DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along C68, LODERS between its junction with New Road and its junction with New Street Lane, a distance of approximately 1115 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation between 0930 and 1530 on 20 March 2024 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 20 March 2024. This Order will enable Multevo Ltd, safe access to carry out carriageway maintenance to include kerbing, signposts and iron works.

An alternative vehicular route will be signed using; A35 - A3066 - Townsend Way -Higher Street.

Any person who uses or permits the use of a vehicle in contravention of the Notice will be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding £1000.

Notice of Making a Public Path Diversion and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order Highways Act 1980 Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981

Dorset Council (Part of Footpath 16 and Footpath 17, Marshwood at Hackeridge Farm) Public Path Diversion Order 2024

The above order, made on 12 January 2024 under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980, will divert part of Footpath 16 and Footpath 17, Marshwood as shown on the order map as follows:
From the existing paths:

Part of Footpath 16, Marshwood: The whole width of the footpath from its junction with Footpath 17 at Batts Lane (C87) at SY 41136 99176, east north east along the private driveway to Hackeridge Farm and continues generally east and east south east across fields to rejoin the unaffected part of Footpath 16 at the eastern field boundary at SY 4158 9917. (No recorded width).

Footpath 17, Marshwood: The whole width of the footpath from its junction with Footpath 16 at Batts Lane (C87) at SY 41136 99176, north east across a field to its junction with Batts Lane at SY 41244 99278. (No recorded width).

To the new paths:

Part of Footpath 16, Marshwood: From its junction with the proposed new route of Footpath 17 at SY 41248 99274, east to the field boundary at SY 4125 9927, then south east to SY 4125 9926 and continuing east, following the southern field boundary to SY 4131 9925 and north east to the field boundary at SY 4132 9925. It continues east south east across a second field to rejoin the unaffected part of Footpath 16 at the eastern field boundary at SY 4158 9917. Width: 2 metres, except for 1.2 metres at SY 4125 9927.

Footpath 17, Marshwood: From its junction with Batts Lane (C87) at SY 41132 99180, north north east across the field to SY 4116 9927, then east, following the northern field boundary to SY 41243 99274 and continuing east to its junction with the proposed new route of Footpath 16 at SY 41248 99274 and then north north west to its junction with Batts Lane (C87) at SY 41246 99279. Width: 2 metres, except for 1.2 metres at SY 41132 99180 and SY 41243 99274. A copy of the order and the order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at Reception, County Hall, Colliton Park, Dorchester during normal office hours. Copies are also available on our website at www.dorsetcouncil.gov.uk/row-orders. Any representations about or objections to the order may be sent in writing to Carol Mckay, Definitive Map Team, Spatial Planning, Dorset Council, County Hall, Colliton Park, Dorchester, Dorset, DT1 1XJ (Ref: RW/P253), or via email to carol. mckay@dorsetcouncil.gov.uk, not later than Friday 29 March 2024. Please state the grounds on which they are made. Any letters received will be made available for public inspection.

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Dorset Council may confirm the order as an unopposed order. If the order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order.
