What is happening?

THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF GATESHEAD 
(CHASE PARK COUNTRY PARK ACCESS ROAD, WHICKHAM) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2024

Notice is hereby given that on the 28 February 2024 the Borough Council of Gateshead made an Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles along Chase Park Country Park Access Road, Whickham from its junction with Rectory Road in an easterly direction for a distance of 38 metres. The Order is required to assist with works being carried out on the permitted development of the Chase Park housing development scheme. The Order will come into force on the 04 March 2024. The maximum duration of the Order will be 18 months. During the works all vehicles (except vehicles associated with the works and emergency service vehicles on duty) will be prohibited from proceeding along the above road until the development is completed or at such times and to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the display of traffic signs. However, limited access to the public will be permitted on weekends.
