What is happening?

CAMBRIDGESHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council has made an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which:

Greenhills Road, Soham

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-296

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Greenhills Road, Soham as lies

between number 14 and Brook Street.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Brook Street.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate storm water rising main installation and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 18 March 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 17 September 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 18 March and 28 March 2024.

Wisbech Road, Littleport

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-297

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Wisbech Road, Littleport as lies between BP Services and Meadow Court.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Wisbech Road (C319) - Camel Road (C132) - A10 and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate new water connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 4 March 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 3 September 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 4 March and 8 March 2024.

Upware, Upware

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-337

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Upware, Upware as lies between Field Farm Cottages and Wicken Footpath 12.

The alternative route for vehicles is via A1123 - A142 - B1102 - High Street, Swaffham Prior - Station Road - Whiteway Drove - Headlake Drove (C214) - Great Drove (C214) - Prior Fen - Upware and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunication and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 14 March 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 13 September 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 09:30hrs and 15:30hrs 14 March 2024.

Debden Green, Ely

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-343

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Debden Green, Ely as lies between numbers 1 and 3.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Debden Green.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate sewer repair and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 4 March 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 3 September 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 4 March and 15 March 2024.

Main Street, Littleport

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-346

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Main Street, Littleport as lies between Globe Lane and Hitches Street.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Crown Lane - Wellington Street - Granby Street.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gas connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 11 March 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 10 September 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 11 March and 15 March 2024.

Lynn Road, Chettisham

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-365

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Lynn Road, Chettisham as lies between points 20m either side of the railway level crossing situated there as measured from its gates or barriers.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Lynn Road, Ely - Ely Road, Littleport - High Street - Crown Lane - Wellington Street - Wisbech Road - Wisbech Road (C319) - A10 - B1411- Egremont Street, Ely - B1382 - Lynn Road and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate essential maintenance works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 24 March 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 23 September 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out overnight between 00:01hrs and 08:00hrs 24 March 2024.

Pools Road (C154), Wilburton

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-190

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Pools Road (C154), Wilburton as lies between Church Road and Stretham Station Road.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Stretham Station Road - Grunty Fen Road, Witchford - Main Street - Sutton Road - Sutton Road, Wentworth - A142 - Church Road - Church Road, Wilburton and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway pot holes and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 23 February 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 22 August 2025 whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 09:30hrs

and 15:30hrs 23 February to 31 March 2024.

Bates Drove (A1101), Wisbech Road (A1101), Littleport and Bates Drove (A1101), Little Downham

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-225

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Bates Drove (A1101), Wisbech Road (A1101), Littleport and Bates Drove (A1101), Little Downham as lies between Mare Fen Drove, Littleport and Hundred Foot Bank, Little Downham.

The alternative route for vehicles is via A1101 - A10 - A142 - A141 -B1093 - B1098 - B1100 - A1101 and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway reconstruction, resurfacing and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 25 March 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 24 September 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 25 March and 3 May 2024.

Mildenhall Road (A1101), Shippea Hill

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-227

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Mildenhall Road (A1101), Shippea Hill as lies between points 20m either side of the railway level crossing situated there as measured from its gates or barriers.

The alternative route for vehicles is via A1101 - A10 - A142 - A14 - A11 -A1101 and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate essential maintenance works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 30 March 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 29 September 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out overnight between 21:00hrs and 04:00hrs 30 March to 2 April 2024.

Chapel Lane, Wicken

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-229

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Chapel Lane, Wicken as lies between Lower Road and Drury Lane.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Drury Lane - Pond Green - A1123 and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 8 March 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 7 September 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 09:30hrs and 15:30hrs 8 March 2024.

Soham Footpath 45, Soham

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE) ORDER 2024-244

Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Soham Footpath 45, Soham as lies between West Drive Gardens and Station Road.

The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gas main replacement and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 25 March 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 24 September 2024 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 25 March and 19 April 2024.

Station Road, Soham

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-271

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Station Road, Soham as lies between Cedar Court and Churchgate Street.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Station Road - Fountain Lane - Churchgate Street and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 6 March 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 5 September 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 09:30hrs and 15:30hrs 6 March 2024.

(TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991

VARIOUS ROADS, EAST DIVISION

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-280

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along various roads as set out in Schedule 1 below.

Nothing in this Order shall prevent access and egress from premises or land adjacent to the highway mentioned in Schedule 1.

The Order is necessary for safety reasons to facilitate footway slurry sealing and associated works.

The proposed Order will come into operation on 13 March 2024 and will continue until these works have finished or on the 12 September 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that this order will apply to the locations, at various times during the dates specified in the Schedule.

The above orders shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which these are made, any member of the Police Force, Fire and Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or to any person acting with the permission or upon the direction of a Police Officer in uniform.
