What is happening?

DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE PUBLIC FOOTPATHS NO. 1 (PART) & NO.2 (PART) SWADLINCOTE

WHEN: 1st March 2024 to 3rd September 2024.

WHERE: Close footpath No.1 at its junction bridleway No.137 for approximately 213 meters. Close footpath No.2 from its junction with bridleway No.137 to its junction with footpath No.3.

REASON: To facilitate health and safety whilst construction works take place.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: From footpath No.2 in the north take footpath No.3. At the junction with footpath No.4 go southeast. At the junction with bridleway No.137 go north until it meets Thorpe Downs Road. Take the first path on the left where it will meet footpath No.1. Vice versa from the east.

Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of footpath. The footpath will re-open as soon as the work is finished.

This may be earlier than advertised. Derbyshire County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused while work takes place.

The County Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
