What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
PART OF BLENHEIM ROAD, BRIDLINGTON
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which
will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along
part of Blenheim Road, Bridlington in front of property
numbers 18 and 20 commencing 25 March 2024 until
29 March 2024 each day between the hours of
09.30 until 15.30 for the purposes of removing trees.
The road closure is necessary to enable the works to
be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the
safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months,
but it is anticipated that the works will be completed
within five days. The alternative route for traffic
affected by the road closure will be via Blenheim Road,
Quay Road, Moorfield Road, Bridlington CP, Bridlington
South Ward. The diversion route will be signed at the
time of closure. The road will be closed to all traffic
but access will be maintained for residents, emergency
services and pedestrians. Further information can
