What is happening?

BUCKINGHAMSHIRE COUNCIL

THE COUNCIL INTENDS TO MAKE

(Church St, Wingrave) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2024 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Church Street for approx 54M. Alternative route: Church Street, Lower End, Tring Road, Dark Lane and vice versa. The closure is required whilst a new water connection commences on 13 May 2024. The proposed Order will come into operation on 13 May 2024, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(Lower End, Thornborough) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2024 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Lower End for approx 104M. Alternative route: Thornborough Road, College Lane, The Close, Park Avenue, Stratford Road, Buckingham Ring Road East, Bourton Bends, Buckingham Ring Road, Bletchley Road, High Street and vice versa. The closure is required whilst a vent column removal commences on 13 May 2024. The proposed Order will come into operation on 13 May 2024, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(Main St, Ashendon) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2024 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Main Street for approx 114M. Alternative route: Main Street, Westcott Road, Ashendon Road, High Street, Bicester Road, Aylesbury Road, Waddesdon Hill, Cat Lane, Main Road, Winchendon Ridge Road, Winchendon Road, Crendon Road, Chearsley Road, Chilton Road, Easington Terrace, Thame Road, Brill Road, Dorton Road, Dorton Hill, Dorton, Wotton Road and vice versa. The closure is required whilst a service pipe relay commences on 19 May 2024. The proposed Order will come into operation on 19 May 2024, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(Fort End, Haddenham) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2024 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Fort End for approx 52M. Alternative route: Aylesbury Road, Churchway, Stanbridge Road and vice versa. The closure is required whilst Thames Water service pipe relay commences on 27 April 2024. The proposed Order will come into operation on 27 April 2024, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(Wheelwrights, Weston Turville) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2024 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Wheelwrights for approx 102M. The closure is required whilst Openreach works commences on 1 April 2024. The proposed Order will come into operation on 1 April 2024, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF AN ORDER

On 7 February 2024 the Council confirmed “The Buckinghamshire

Council (Public Footpath No. 33 (Part) Weston Turville) Cycle Tracks Order 2021”, without modification, made under Section 3 of the Cycle Tracks Act 1984. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to designate a length of Public Footpath No. 33, Weston Turville from point A on the Order map at SP8465-1319 S for 632M to point B at SP8471-1257 as shown by a bold broken black line and having a width of 3M, as shared use cycle track with a right of way for pedal cycles and on foot. A copy of the Order and the Order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at Reception, Buckinghamshire Council, Walton Street Offices, Walton Street, Aylesbury, HP20 1UA and at Aylesbury Library during normal opening hours. Copies of the Order and map may be purchased from the Council at a cost of £5.00 by writing to the Definitive Map Team, Buckinghamshire Council, Walton Street Offices, Walton Street, Aylesbury, HP20 1UA or email row@buckinghamshire.gov.uk. The Order comes into force on 27 March 2024 and if you believe this Order is invalid because it does not comply with the legal requirements, you can apply to the High Court by 10 April 2024.
