Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (A4023 Coventry Highway (Eastbound Entry Slip Road) & A4023 Coventry Highway (Lane Closure), Redditch) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024
Order made: To close that part of Closure 1: A4023 Coventry Highway (Eastbound Entry Slip Road) from its junction with Moons Moat roundabout to A4023 Coventry Highway. Closure 2: A4023 Coventry Highway (Lane closure) from its junction with the Exit Slip Road to Moons Moat roundabout, to its junction with Manor Side Industrial Estate in an easterly direction.
Reason: Safe working for cabling works by Openreach.
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.
Alternative route: A4023 Coventry Highway Roundabout at B4497 junction, A4023 Coventry Highway (Westbound), A441 Alvechurch Highway Roundabout, A4023 Coventry Highway (Eastbound).
Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 2 nights (21:00-06:00). Commencing: 29 February 2024.
(B4184 Hewell Road and U31021 Batchley Road, Redditch) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024
Proposed Order: To close that part of Closure 1 - B4184 Hewell Road from its junction with U31027 Hewell Road to its junction with B4184 Hewell Road Roundabout. Closure 2 - U31021 Batchley Road from its junction with B4184 Hewell Road to its junction with U31026 Hazel Road.
Reason: Installing a new mini roundabout and a Zebra Crossing by WCC.
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken. Access will be limited during the works.
Alternative route: Diversion - U31021 Batchley Road (Westbound), U31019 Willow Way, U31021 Batchley Road (eastbound), U31022 Oak Tree Avenue, U31068 Salters Lane, B4184 Hewell Road and vice versa. (U23609 Chapel Lane, Beoley) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024
Proposed Order: To close that part of U23609 Chapel Lane from its junction with The Glebe (Private) to its junction with B4101 Beoley Lane.
Reason: New gas connection by Cadent Gas.
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.
Alternative route: B4101 Beoley Lane, U23611 Holt Hill, U23609 Chapel Lane and vice versa.
Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 4 days. Commencing: 25 March 2024.
(A448 The Slough, Redditch) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024
Order made: To close that part of A448 The Slough from its junction with A441 Rough Hill Drive for a distance of 200 metres until the Boundary with Warwickshire.
Reason: Replacement gas main by Flowaime.
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.
Alternative route: A448 The Slough (Warwickshire), Bromsgrove Road (Warwickshire), Haydon Way (Warwickshire), Birmingham Road (Warwickshire), A435 (Warwickshire), A422 (Warwickshire), A422 (Warwickshire), A422 Arrow Lane, A441 Evesham Road, A441 The Ridgeway, A441 Evesham Road and vice versa. (U30306 Malvern Road, Redditch) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024
Proposed Order: To close that part of U30306 Malvern Road from its junction with U30307 Vaynor Drive to its
junction with U30311 Mason Road.
Reason: Remedial work to rectify defect in carriageway by Mia Direct Ltd.
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.
Alternative route: U30311 Mason Road, U30309 Byron Road, U30306 Malvern Road and vice versa.
Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 3 days. Commencing: 25 March 2024.
(U23608 Bleachfield Lane, Beoley) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024
Proposed Order: To close that part of U23608 Bleachfield Lane from its junction with B4101 Churchill to its junction
with U23611 Holt Hill.
Reason: Carriageway resurfacing by WCC.
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.
Alternative route: B4101 Churchill, U23611 Holt Hill and vice versa.
Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 1 day between 25 March 2024 and 29 March 2024.
(C2291 Birmingham Road, Alvechurch) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024
Proposed Order: To close that part of C2291 Birmingham Road from its junction with U23246 Meadow Lane to its
junction with B4120 Redditch Road.
Reason: Carriageway patching for surface dressing in multiple phases by WCC.
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.
Alternative route: B4120 Redditch Road, A441 Alvechurch bypass junction 2 M42, A441 Alvechurch bypass, C2291 Redditch Road, C2291 Swan Street, C2291 Red Lion Street, and vice versa.
Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 3 days between 25 March 2024 and 28 March 2024.
(C2170 Icknield Street/U23405 Grimpits Lane, Wythall) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024
Proposed Order: To close that part of: Closure 1: C2170 Icknield Street from its junction with U23407 Headley Heath Lane to its junction with U23406 Headley Heath Lane. Closure 2: U23405 Grimpits Lane from its junction with C2170 Icknield Street for a distance of 25 metres in a Westerly direction.
Reason: Utility work by Severn Trent Water.
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.
Alternative route: Westbound: U23405 Grimpits, U23405 Goodrest Lane, C2042 Redhill Road, C2170 Icknield Street and vice versa. Eastbound: C2170 Icknield Street, U23406 Headley Heath Lane, U23407 Headley Heath Lane and vice versa.
Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 3 days. Commencing: 25 March 2024.
(U30305 Jubilee Avenue/U30304 Clent Avenue, Redditch) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024
Proposed Order: To close that part of: Closure 1: U30305 Jubilee Avenue from its junction with U30304 Clent Avenue for a distance of 55 metres in an Easterly direction. Closure 2: U30304 Clent Avenue from its junction with U30305 Jubilee Avenue for a distance of 10 metres.
Reason: Utility works by Severn Trent Water.
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.
Alternative route: U30305 Jubilee Avenue, U30304 Clent Avenue and vice versa.

Closure 2: U33411 Dowlers Hill Crescent from its junction with U33410 Auxerre Avenue to its junction with U33412 Greenlands Avenue.

Closure 2: Link Footpath F30502 Dowlers Hill Crescent (o/side no.61-23) from its junction with U33411 Dowlers Hill Crescent to its junction with Link Footpath F30948 Granhill Closure. Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.
Alternative route: C2038 Feckenham Road, C2038 Church Road, A441 Evesham Road and vice versa.
Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 14 days (24hrs). Commencing: 25 March 2024.
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (As Amended) (Borough of Redditch) (Civil Enforcement Area) (Waiting Restrictions and Street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2009 (Variation) Order 2024 [Prohibition of Waiting on Woodrow South, Redditch]
On 15 February 2024 Worcestershire County Council made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit waiting at any time on the following lengths and sides of roads in Redditch:-
Woodrow South: - Southwest side: From a point 24 metres northwest of its junction with Woodrow Drive for a distance of 12.5 metres in a north westerly direction. The Order will vary the above Consolidation Order (which provides for civil enforcement of contraventions of waiting prohibitions and restrictions) and will contain exemptions to allow parking/access for certain purposes and limited waiting by disabled persons' vehicles. The Order will come into operation on 7 March 2024. Documents in relation to this Order can be downloaded at the Redditch Public Notice page on the Worcestershire County Council Website or copies supplied by emailing roadtrafficregs@worcestershire.gov.uk; or writing to me at County Hall or may be inspected at Worcestershire County Council, County Hall, Spetchley Road, Worcester, WR5 2NP during normal office hours. The validity of the Council's powers in making the Order or this exercise of them may be questioned by application to the High Court within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made.
