Walton Street - Temporary Road Closures For Utility Works
What is happening?
THE ROYAL BOROUGH OF KENSINGTON AND CHELSEA
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES WALTON STREET
The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea intends to make an Order under The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 Schedule 1 -Section 14 (1)(A) and all other enabling powers prohibiting vehicles from proceeding or waiting in roads cited below. Where necessary to maintain access for residents and occupiers one way or two-way traffic working may be imposed on affected roads.
ROAD CLOSED TO VEHICLES FOR UTILITY WORKS.
Walton Street, to be closed at the junction of First Street to outside of number 128 Walton Street.
To be closed from 08.00hrs on Tuesday 12th March 2024 until 18.00hrs on Thursday 14th March 2024, with backup dates of Tuesday 19th March 2024 until Thursday 21st March 2024, or until the works are completed.
Diverted traffic to use; Walton Street, Ovington Street, Milner Street, Mossop Street, Draycott Avenue, Ixworth Place, Sloane Avenue, Brompton Road.
Or Walton Street, Beauchamp Place, Brompton Road, Draycott Avenue, Walton Street, in both directions.
Access will be maintained for residents and occupiers.
Nothing in this Order shall apply to anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police constable in uniform or a traffic warden.
Nothing in this Order shall apply to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, or for the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency.
