Bridgwater, Temporary Road Closures Due To Installation Works

What is happening?

Somerset Council Parish of Bridgwater Temporary Closure of Penzoy Avenue, Loxleigh Avenue and Loxleigh Gardens

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Penzoy Avenue -from the junction with Westonzoyland Road to the junction with Loxleigh Avenue; Loxleigh Avenue -from the junction with Loxleigh Gardens, northwestwards for a distance of 38 metres; and Loxleigh Gardens - from the junction with Penzoy Avenue, southwards for a distance of 14 metres. A total distance of 179 metres.

This Order will enable Future Networks Inc.Ltd to install cables and fibreoptics on behalf of Jurassic Fibre.

The Order becomes effective on 27th February 2024 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 4th March 2024 and last until 27th March 2024 between the hours of 08:00 -17:00 for a total of 24 days.
