Hoyles Lane - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic
What is happening?

(PUBLIC FOOTPATH FP0608004 LEA, PRESTON CITY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Secretary of State for Transport has agreed to the above Order, which was due to expire on the 20th February, 2024, remaining in force until the 20th August, 2024, or until the works are completed within this period. The effect of which is to temporarily prohibit all traffic from proceeding over that length of the Public Footpath indicated below:-
Public Footpath 0608004 Lea, Preston, from Hoyles Lane at Point C (SD 4922 – 3228) in a generally southerly direction for approximately 400 metres to Cottam Way at Point D (SD 4930 – 3193).
The temporary closure is necessary whilst works are carried out on or near the footpath.
Access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the footpath, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from, the footpath, will be maintained at all times.
Nothing in the order shall apply to emergency service vehicles or to those undertaking the works.
