What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

TUNBRIDGE WELLS AREA

B2079 Bedgebury Road, Goudhurst, TN17 2QS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow new water connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2079 Bedgebury Road, Goudhurst, on or after 4th March 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Whitestocks Cottages. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2079 Bedgebury Road, B2079 Balcombes Hill, A262 The Plain, A262 West Road, A262 Clayhill, A262 Station Road, A262 Spelmonden Road, A262 Goudhurst Road, A262 Horsmonden Road, A21 Lamberhurst By-pass, A21 Scotney Castle Roundabout, A21 Hastings Road, A21 London Road, B2079 Lady Oak Lane, B2079 Bedgebury Road and vice versa.

 

Alders Road, Capel, TN12 6SX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Alders Road, Capel, on or after 4th March 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Capel Court Farm, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Alders Road, B2017 Five Oak Green Road, B2017 Badsell Road, A228 Colts Hill, Alders Road and vice versa.

 

Bedford Road, Southborough, TN4 0HR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow manhole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bedford Road, Southborough, on or after 18th March 2024 for up to 12 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Bedford House and Fairway. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Bedford Road, Meadow Road, A26 London Road, Western Road and vice versa.

 

Blackhurst Lane, Royal Tunbridge Wells, TN2 4RG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on Blackhurst Lane, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 6th March 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of A264 Pembury Road to Mulberries. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no diversion for these works. Access will be maintained when it is safe to do so.

 

Chester Avenue, Royal Tunbridge Wells, TN2 5AP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow electric works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on Chester Avenue, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 4th March 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with High Woods Lane. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no diversion for these works and access will be maintained.

 

Dig Dog Lane, Frittenden, TN27 8LT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow new electric connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Dig Dog Lane, Frittenden, on or after 7th March 2024 for up to 12 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Bettenham Cottages. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Dig Dog Lane, Cranbrook Road, The Street, Biddenden Road, Buckhurst Lane, Hareplain Road, Dig Dog Lane and vice versa.

 

Dingleden, Benenden, TN17 4JU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow electric works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Dingleden, Benenden, on or after 20th March 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Trafford Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Dingleden, Dingleden Farm Road, Woodcock Lane, Standen Street, Crouch Lane and vice versa.

 

Etherington Hill, Speldhurst, TN3 0TP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow road marking replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Etherington Hill, Speldhurst, on or after 19th March 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Lower Green Road and Broomhill Road, during the hours of 19:00 and 07:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Speldhurst Hill, Langton Road, Speldhurst Road, The Green, A264 Langton Road, A264 Bishops Down, A264 Mount Ephraim, A26 Mount Ephraim, A26 St Johns Road, Speldhurst Road and vice versa.

 

Foxhole Lane, Matfield (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow fire hydrant replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Foxhole Lane, Matfield, on or after 20th March 2024 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Glenbrook. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Foxhole Lane, Chestnut Lane, B2160 Maidstone Road, Bramble Reed Lane, Foxhole Lane and vice versa.

 

Henwood Green Road, Pembury, TN2 4HN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Henwood Green Road, Pembury, on or after 19th March 2024 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between 52 to 56. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Henwood Green Road, Hastings Road, High Street, Lower Green Road and vice versa.

 

St James Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, TN1 2LJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow manhole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of St James Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 19th March 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside 71. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via St James Road, Western Road, Auckland Road, Albion Road and vice versa.

 

Whitewell Lane, Cranbrook, TN17 2PS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Whitewell Lane, Cranbrook, on or after 19th March 2024 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Three Oaks Nursery. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Whitewell Lane, A229 Angley Road, A229 Wilsley Green, A229 Wilsley Pound, A262 Goudhurst Road and vice versa.
