Notice of Making

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Wigan Borough Council, in exercise of the powers under Section 1, 2, 3 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act 1984, has made the Wigan Borough (Decriminalisation of Parking)

(Wigan Roads No. 2) (Traffic Regulation Consolidation) Order 2004 (Amendment No.133) Order 2024 which will come into operation on 18/03/2024.

The effect of the Order will be to introduce no loading at any time on:

•  Fairbrother Avenue Worsley Mesnes – both sides from its junction with Poolstock Lane to a point 10 metres east of its junction with Poolstock Lane.

•  Poolstock Lane Worsley Mesnes – East side from a point 15 metres northeast of its junction with Fairbrother Avenue to a point 15 metres southwest of its junction with Fairbrother Avenue.

Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained therein on the ground:

(a) that it is not within the powers of Section 1 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984; or the Traffic Management Act 2004, or

(b) that any requirement of the said Section 1, or of Part III of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or of any regulations made under the said Part III of Schedule 9 or of any requirement of the 2004 Act, has not been complied with, may within six weeks of 15/02/2024 make application for the purpose to the High Court.

(Arundel Street Hindley Green Wigan) (Temporary Closure)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director Infrastructure and

Regulatory Services of Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to her by the said Council has made the Wigan Borough (Arundel Street Hindley Green Wigan) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a vehicle or causing or permitting a vehicle to be driven in Arundel Street Hindley Green Wigan adjacent to house number 23 during the period of 08:00 and 16:00 on 25/04/2024. The alternative route for traffic is: Access will be maintained for residents and emergency vehicles.

The Order is necessary to allow maintenance work in the water chamber.

(Ince Green Lane Ince in Makerfield) (Temporary Closure)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director Infrastructure and

Regulatory Services of Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to her by the said Council has made the Wigan Borough (Ince Green Lane Ince in Makerfield) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a vehicle or causing or permitting a vehicle to be driven in Ince Green Lane Ince in Makerfield at the railway bridge during the period of 22/04/2024 to 27/11/2024.

The alternative route for traffic is: Warrington Road, Warrington Lane, Darlington Street East and Manchester Road.

The Order is necessary to allow a full bridge reconstruction.

(Romford Street Hindley Green Wigan) (Temporary Closure)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director Infrastructure and

Regulatory Services of Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to her by the said Council has made the Wigan Borough (Romford Street Hindley Green Wigan) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a vehicle or causing or permitting a vehicle to be driven in Romford Street Hindley Green Wigan adjacent to 66 Chapel Green Road during the period of 08:00 and 16:00 on 25/04/2024.

There is no alternative route available.

The Order is necessary to allow maintenance work in the water chamber.

(Hall Lane Hindley) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024 Notice of Making

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director Infrastructure and

Regulatory Services of Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to her by the said Council has made the Wigan Borough (Hall Lane Hindley) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a vehicle or causing or permitting a vehicle to be driven in Hall Lane Hindley during the period of three days commencing on 02/04/2024 04/04/2024.

The alternative route for traffic is: B5239 Bolton Road, B5239 Dicconson Lane, A6 Chorley Road, B5236 Church Street, A58 Wigan Road, A58 Castle Hill Road and A58 Bridge Street.

The Order is necessary to allow a new electric connection.

(Logwood Place, Wigan) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024 Notice of Proposals

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director Infrastructure and Regulatory Services of the Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to her by the said Council, proposes to make the Wigan Borough (Logwood Place, Wigan) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person, from using the pedestrian paths through the self-enclosed housing scheme and section of highway at Logwood Place, Wigan, as shown on the hatched area of the plan, for a period of 18 months, commencing on 6th March 2024.

Please note there is no alternative route available. An exemption will be granted for remaining tenants where necessary.

The Order is necessary to allow the safe demolition of existing obsolete properties and the redevelopment of the site. Dated this 27th day of February 2024
