WEST BERKSHIRE DISTRICT COUNCIL

UNDER SECTION 14/1 OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
WEST BERKSHIRE DISTRICT COUNCIL (THE COUNCIL) INTENDS TO MAKE ORDERS AS FOLLOWING

(BYWAY OPEN TO ALL TRAFFIC, BEED/22/3 IN THE PARISH OF BEEDON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL MOTORISED VEHICLES) ORDER 2024
The Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit the use of all Motorised Vehicles over the following Byway, namely BEED/22/3 in the Parish of Beedon from its junction with Byway BEED/23/1 to its junction with Hailey Lane. The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the Order is via
Hailey Lane, Byway BEED/2/1, Byway BEED/23/1 and vice versa. The purpose of this Order is to enable works to take place on or near the highway, namely for resurfacing works and consolidation thereof.
The proposed Order will come into effect on 28th February 2024 it is envisaged that the closure will be in place between 28th February to 28th August 2024.The Order shall remain in force for a period of six months or until the works are complete, whichever is the soonest.

(FOOTPATH GTSH/17/1, GREAT SHEFFORD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS) ORDER 2024
The Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any person to proceed over the following footpath, namely GTSH/17/1 in Great Shefford, from its junction with Wantage Road to its junction with Bridleway GTSH/20/4. The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the Order is via
Wantage Road, Footpath GTSH/18/1, Bridleway GTSH/20/4 and vice versa.
The purpose of this Order is to enable works to take place on or near the footpath, namely for works on the Great Shefford Flood Alleviation Scheme to proceed. The proposed Order will come into effect on 26th February 2024
it is envisaged that the closure will be in place between 26th February and 26th August 2024. The Order shall remain in force for a period of six months or until the works are complete, whichever is the soonest.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS) ORDER 2024

The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the Order is via

The purpose of this Order is to enable works to take place on or near the footpath, namely for works on the Great Shefford Flood Alleviation Scheme to proceed. The proposed Order will come into effect on 26th February 2024

(STONEY LANE, COLD ASH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2024
The Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in any direction over Stoney Lane in the Parish of Cold Ash between its junction with Pine Ridge and its junction with Stone Copse. The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the Order is via Cold Ash Road, Cold Ash Hill, Heath Lane, Bowling Green Road, Tull Way, Turn Pike Road, and vice versa. The purpose of this Order is to enable works to take place on or near the highway, namely for Thames Water to carry out repairs
to their network. The proposed Order will come into effect on 26th February 2024. It is envisaged that the closure will be in place between 27th and
29th February 2024.

(THE THICKET, LECKHAMPSTEAD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2024
The Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in any direction over The Thicket in Leckhampstead between its junction with Unnamed Road from Nodmore Corner Hangmans Stone Lane to Holt Lane and its junction with Shop Lane. The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the Order is via Shop Lane, Unnamed Road from Shop Lane to Hill Green Lane, Unnamed Road from Hill Green Lane to Hangmans Stone Lane, Hangmans Stone Lane, Unnamed Road from Nodmore Corner Hangmans Stone Lane to Holt Lane and vice versa. The purpose of this Order is to enable works to take place on or near the highway, namely for Openreach to replace a telegraph pole. The proposed Order will come into effect 23rd February 2024. It is envisaged that the closure will be in place between 08:00 and 18:00 hours on 26th February 2024.

(PANGBOURNE ROAD, PANGBOURNE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2024
The Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in any direction over Pangbourne Road in Pangbourne between its junction with Gardeners Lane and its junction with Yattendon Road. The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the Order is via Gardeners Lane, Unnamed Road from Buckhold Hill to Yattendon Road, Yattendon Road and vice versa. The purpose of this Order is to enable works to take place on or near the highway, namely for Scottish and Southern Power Distribution (SSEPD) to install a new connection. The proposed Order will come into effect on 8th March 2024. It is envisaged that the closure will be in place between 11th and 14th March 2024.

Unless stated otherwise the above orders shall remain in force for≈a period of eighteen months, or until the works are complete, whichever is the soonest, they will not take effect until approved traffic signs have been erected. Final details of the closure can be viewed on One.Network
