What is happening?

NOTICE OF MODIFICATION ORDER
SECTION 53 OF THE WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 COUNTY OF DEVON DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT 
DEVON COUNTY COUNCIL
(BRIDLEWAY NO 12 WASHFIELD) DEFINITIVE MAP MODIFICATION ORDER 2024

The above Order made on 7th February 2024, if confrmed as made, will modify the Defnitive Map and Statement for the area by adding to them Bridleway No. 12, Washfeld running north eastwards from the county road C141 by Shilhay Copse along a defned green lane for approximately 730 metres to the county road C257 at the parish boundary (GR SS 9358 1877 to SS 9404 1931) in the parish of Washfeld and administrative district of Mid Devon.

A copy of the Order and the Order map may be seen free of charge during opening hours at the Tiverton Library, Phoenix Lane, Tiverton EX16 6SA; at Devon County Council Ofces, Great Moor House, Sowton, Exeter EX2 7NL by appointment; at www.devon.gov.uk/ haveyoursay under Public Rights of Way - Washfeld and by arrangement with the Washfeld Parish Clerk . A copy of the Order and the Order map may be requested free of charge by contacting tania.weeks@devon.gov. uk or on 01392 382833.

Any representation or objection relating to the Order must be sent in writing to the Public Rights of Way Service, Devon County Council, Great Moor House, Bittern Road, Sowton, Exeter EX2 7NL not later than 9th April 2024, and applicants are requested to state the grounds on which it is made. Copies of any objections or representations received may be circulated to interested parties.

If no representations or objections are duly made to the Order, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Devon County Council, instead of submitting the Order to the Secretary of State, may itself confrm the Order. If the Order is submitted to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Afairs, any representations or objections which have been duly made and not withdrawn will be sent with it.
