What is happening?

CAMBRIDGESHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council intends after seven days, to make an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which:

Parsons Land Drove, Doddington (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-295
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Parsons Land Drove, Doddington as lies between Foxes Fate and The Farm House. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 26 March 2023 and continue until these works have finished or on the 25 September 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs and 17:00hrs 26 March and 28 March 2024.

Whittlesey Byway 31, Whittlesey (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE) ORDER 2024-316
Is to stop any vehicle, cyclist, pedestrian and equestrian from proceeding along Whittlesey Byway 31, Whittlesey as lies between Ten Acre Drove and Blackbush Drove. The alternative route for vehicles, cyclists, pedestrians and equestrians will be as signed. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate service to air value and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 20 March 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 19 September 2024 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 20 March and 22 March 2024.

New Road, Chatteris (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-325
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along New Road, Chatteris as lies between the A142 and Langwood Hill Drove. The alternative route for vehicles is via A142 – Langwood Hill Drove and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway patching and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 4 March 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 3 September 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 07:30hrs and 16:15hrs 4 March to 6 March
2024.

Back Road, Friday Bridge (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-327
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Back Road, Friday Bridge as lies between Main Road and March Road. The alternative route for vehicles is via Main Road – March Road and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gas connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 18 March 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 17 September 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 18 March and 22 March 2024.

Middle Broad Drove, Tydd St Giles (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-349
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Middle Broad Drove, Tydd St Giles as lies between Cross Drove and Broad Drove East. The alternative route for vehicles is via Cross Drove – Cross Drove, Newton in the Isle – Goredyke Bank (C15) – Fitton End Road, Gorefield – Fitton End Road, Newton in the Isle – Roman Bank (C14) – B1165 – Newgate Road, Tydd St Giles – Broad Drove East and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate culvert repair and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 18 March 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 17 September 2025 whichever is the
earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 18 March and 29 March 2024.

Ringers Lane, Leverington (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-364
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Ringers Lane, Leverington as lies between Gorefield Road and Knights Close. The alternative route for vehicles is via Leverington Common – Church Road – Gorefield Road and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate sewer connection, new development and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 4 March 2024 and continue
until these works have finished or on the 3 September 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 4 March and 8 March 2024.

Sixteen Foot Bank (B1098), Christchurch (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-189
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Sixteen Foot Bank (B1098), Christchurch as lies between The Sluice and Croft Road (B1098). The alternative route for vehicles is via B1098 – B1094 – A1101 – B1098 and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway pot hole repairs and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 4 March 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 3 September 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 09:30hrs and 15:30hrs 4 March and 7 March 2024.

Trinity Road, Wisbech (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-245
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Trinity Road, Wisbech as lies between Seabank Road and Stow Road. The alternative route for vehicles is via Norwich Road – Staithe Road and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gas connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 11 March 2023 and continue until these works have finished or on the 10 September 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 11 March and 15 March 2024.

Willock Lane, Wisbech St Mary (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-248
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Willock Lane, Wisbech St Mary as lies between Willock House and Kilham Acre. The alternative route for vehicles is via B1542 – Rummers Lane and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate chamber frame, cover repair and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into
operation on 5 March 2023 and continue until these works have finished or on the 4 September 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 5 March and 7 March 2024.

Church Street, Whittlesey (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-275
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Church Street, Whittlesey as lies between London Street and Briggate East. The alternative route for vehicles is via B1040 – A605 – B1093 – Eastgate – B1093 – B1096 – Wells Bridge, Ramsey Mereside – Oilmills Road – Oilmills Road, Pondersbridge – B1040 and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate electrical connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 2 March 2023 and continue until these works have finished or on the 1 September 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 2 March and 6 March 2024.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14(1) AS AMENDED BY THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 VARIOUS ROADS,
NORTH DIVISION (TEMPORARY 40MPH AND 30MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2024-387
Is to impose a 40mph and 30mph speed limit, as set out in Schedule 1 below.
Nothing in this Order shall prevent access and egress from premises or land adjacent to the highway mentioned in Schedules 1. The Order is necessary for safety reasons to facilitate pipe laying and associated works. The proposed Order will come into operation on 4 March 2024 and will continue until these works have finished or on the 6 November 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is
anticipated that this order will apply to the locations, at various times during the dates specified in the Schedules. The Order will be effective, for safety purposes, when signs are in place indicating the speed limit along the
whole or any part of the above mentioned length of road whilst works are in progress or temporarily suspended.

The above orders shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which these are made, any member of the Police Force, Fire and Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or to any person acting with the permission or upon the direction of a Police Officer in uniform.
