Wiltshire, Multiple Roads, Temporary Traffic Restrictions

What is happening?

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) B3108 (Part), Winsley; from its junction with C391 to its junction with Murhill to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated works. Alternative route via B3108 (unaffected length) - A36 - A361 - B3105 - B3109 - B3108 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 26 February 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 on weekdays only until 06 March 2024. B) Northleigh, Bradford on Avon; from its junction with B3109 for its entire length to enable Gigaclear to carry out ducting and associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 26 February 2024 and the closure will be required until 08 March 2024. For further information please contact Avonline on behalf of Gigaclear on 07977 804219. C) C219 (Part), Bratton; from its junction with Bury Lane to its junction with B3098 to enable Openreach to carry out pole test and associated works. Alternative route via B3098 - C49 - C219 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 26 February 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. D) C155 (Part), Lacock; from its property known as The Rising Sun to its property known as Griffin Farm to enable Scottish and Southern Power Distribution to carry out new electrical connections works and associated works. Alternative route via C155 (unaffected length) - A342 -A3102 - C165 - C155 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order which previously came into operation on 02 October 2023 will now recommence on 28 February 2024 and the closure will be required for 24 hours a day until 05 March 2024. Orders A) to C) will have a maximum duration of 18 months, Order D) has a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.
