What is happening?

PLYMOUTH CITY COUNCIL

THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH (GDYNIA WAY, SHAPTERS WAY, EMBANKMENT LANE, LAIRA BRIDGE ROAD, CATTEDOWN ROUNDABOUT, EMBANKMENT ROAD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is hereby given that Plymouth City Council acting under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), have made an Order the effect of which is:

1. To prohibit the driving of vehicles in:
- Gdynia Way - Inbound from the junction with Embankment Road to the junction of Shapters Road
- Gdynia Way/Shapters Way - Outbound for their entireties
- Embankment Lane - Travelling in a northerly direction from the junction with Laira Bridge Road to the junction with Gdynia Way
- Laira Bridge Road - no left or right hand turn onto Embankment Lane
- Laira Bridge Road - no left hand turn onto Gydnia Way
- Cattedown Roundabout - no left hand turn onto Shapters Way/Gdynia Way

2. To suspend the bus lane on:
- Laira Bridge Road - Inbound from the Gdynia Way on-slip to the junction with Heles Terrace
- Embankment Road - Outbound from the junction of Florence Place to the junction of Wentworth Place
- Embankment Road - Inbound from the junction of Embankment Lane to the junction of Heles Terrace

The prohibition of driving will be in operation on the days and during the hours that the appropriate traffic signs are displayed. The Order shall come into force on 10th March 2024 and shall continue in force for a maximum of 18 months

It is anticipated that the vegetation works will commence on the 10th March 2024 07:00 - 19:00
