What is happening?

LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(BRYNING LANE, NEWTON WITH CLIFTON, FYLDE BOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this Order.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle or cycle to proceed over that length of Bryning Lane, Newton with Clifton from the junction with the A583 Blackpool Road to the junction with Avenham Place in a southerly direction.
2. Nothing in this Order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative from 0800 hours on Monday 11th March 2024 until 1700 hours on Friday 22nd March 2024 or until completion of the works within this period. Access will be maintained wherever possible.
4. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:
A583 Blackpool Road – School Lane – Bryning Lane
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow EV Car Charger installation works to be carried out by Linbrooke Services.
