Lodge Lane - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic

What is happening?


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this Order.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over that length of Lodge Lane, Singleton from the entrance to North Lodge to a point approximately 75 metres south of its junction with Barnfield Manor.
2. Nothing in this Order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative nightly from 2030 hours until 0500 hours on Monday 11th March 2024 until Saturday 16th March 2024 or until completion of the works within this period. Access will be maintained whenever and wherever possible.
4. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:
From Singleton Crossroads: Garstang Road East –
Garstang New Road - Mile Road – The Village
From Singleton Roundabout: The Village – Mile Road – Fleetwood Road – Garstang New Road
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow kerb replacement, white lining and road studding works to be carried out by National Highways.
