ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
NOTICE OF TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS 2024
Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:
Lower Norton Lane, Kewside, Kewstoke, North Somerset
(Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles), (No Waiting or Loading Restriction) Order 2024
Date coming into force: 18 March 2024 - Ref: SW23.24-291
Will be to restrict, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.
This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Wessex Water to divert a sewer. This will become operative on the 18 March 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the restrictions may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 11 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs and cones will be displayed when the measures are in force.
Schedule - road closure in Lower Norton Lane outside 1 Kewhaven Bungalows and No Waiting or Loading in Kewside for its full extent where no parking cones or signs dictate.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024
Date coming into force: 15 April 2024 - Ref: SW24.25-020
Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road. This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to lay new duct. This will become operative on the 15 April 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 5 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024
Date coming into force: 23 March 2024 - Ref: SW23.24-339
Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road. This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to for cabling and tree cutting work. This will become operative on the 23 March 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 1 day in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024
Date coming into force: 8 April 2024 - Ref: SW24.25-008
Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road. This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach for safe transfer of overhead cable. This will become operative on the 8 April 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 1 day in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024
Date coming into force: 8 April 2024 - Ref: SW24.25-010
Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road. This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Bristol Water to install water main. This will become operative on the 8 April 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 12 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force. Access maintained.

FINAL NOTICE OF TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS 2024
Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, have made an order the effect of which:
Extended Final Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order Footpaths AX29/50/15, AX29/49/15 and AX29/76/15, Sandford, North Somerset
Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrians Order 2023 - Ref: SW23.24-026
Will be to close, temporarily, to pedestrians where applicable the lengths of footpaths specified in Schedule of this Notice. Exemptions are included for works access. This order came into force on 1 September 2023 and was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Thatchers Cider Co Ltd in installing of production bridge across the footpath. This order became operative for a maximum period of 6 months and has subsequently received approval from DfT Secretary of State to be extended until 1 September 2024. Appropriate signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024
Date coming into force: 11 March 2024 - Ref: SW23.24-299
Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road. This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Wales & West Utilities to replace gas main. This will become operative on the 11 March 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 18 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024
Date coming into force: 11 March 2024 - Ref: SW23.24-330
Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road. This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Bristol Water to install 12m of new water main. This will become operative on the 11 March 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 5 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Notice of Public Path Order Highways Act 1980 Section 119
Part of footpath AX 3/35, West Rolstone Road, Banwell, North Somerset
Public Path Diversion Order No.2 2024 - Ref: PPO201
The above Order, made on 23 January 2024, under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980, will divert part of Public Footpath AX 3/35 in the Parish of Banwell within the District of North Somerset as described below: from point A (grid ref. ST 38871 62412), running in a generally South Westerly direction to point B (grid ref. ST 38825 62317), a total distance of approximately 155m to a footpath from point C (grid ref. ST 38853 62457), running in a west, south westerly then south easterly direction for approximately 180m, through point D (grid ref. ST 38789 62419 to point B (grid ref. ST 38825 62317). The proposal is shown on the Order Map No. PPO 201: the existing route is shown with a bold black line and the proposed route shown by bold black dashes. References to lettered points in this notice are references to the points marked on the Order Map. The footpath will have a width of 2m, 2.5m if enclosed by a fence. It will have a natural pasture surface as currently in the field.

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, North Somerset District Council may confirm the Orders as unopposed Orders. If the Orders are sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation, any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Orders.
Notice of making of an Order Highways Act 1980
Parts of footpaths AX 28/13 and AX 28/22 and entire length of footpath AX 28/22a, over land north of Ebdon Lane, Wick St. Lawrence, North Somerset
Public Path Diversion Order No.6 2024 - Ref: PPO183
The above Order, made on 1 February 2024, under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980, will divert the above Public Footpaths in the Parish of Wick St. Lawrence within the District of North Somerset as described below. Public Footpath AX 28/13 from a pedestrian gate and footpath bridge at point A (grid reference ST 36838 64899) running in a generally east, south easterly direction through point B (grid reference ST 36848 64899), to the junction with Public Footpath AX 28/19 and AX 28/22 at point C (grid reference ST37033 64861), a total distance of approximately 200m to a path from point D (grid reference ST 37026 64858), running in a west, south westerly then south westerly direction for approximately 100m, through Point E (grid reference ST 36942 64815), to Point J (grid reference ST 36937 64812). Points E and J will have pedestrian gates, with a footpath bridge between these two points. Public Footpath AX 28/22a from a pedestrian gate at point B, running in a generally south easterly direction through point F (grid reference ST 36950 64800), to point G (grid reference ST 36977 64705), a total distance of approximately 245m to a path from point A, running in a south easterly direction to point I (grid reference ST 36894 64816) and then in a easterly direction to a pedestrian gate at point J, a total distance of approximately 144m. Public Footpath AX 28/22 (entire length) from point D, running in a generally south, south westerly direction through point G, to a footbridge with pedestrian gates at either end, at Point H (grid reference ST 36966 64501), a total distance of approximately 371m to a path from a pedestrian gate at Point J, running in a generally south, south easterly direction to a footbridge with pedestrian gates at either end, at point K (grid reference ST 36991 64713), then a generally south, south westerly direction to a footbridge with pedestrian gates at either end at Point H, a total distance of approximately 328m. The proposed routes will have a width of 2m and will have pasture surfaces.

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, North Somerset District Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation, any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.
