What is happening?

LONDON BOROUGH OF HAVERING THE LONDON BOROUGH OF HAVERING (TRAFFIC MOVEMENT AND SPEED LIMIT REGULATIONS) (CONSOLIDATION) (MAP BASED) -(PEDESTRIAN AND CYCLE ZONE) (AMENDMENT NO 20) ORDER 2024 PT01185

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 22nd February 2024 the Council of the London Borough of Havering did make the above-mentioned Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended (making permanent the London Borough of Havering (Traffic Movement and Speed Limit Regulations) (Consolidation) (Map Based) (School Street -Drapers Academy / Drapers Maylands Primary School / Lime Academy Forest Approach / Drapers Pyrgo Priory School / Emerson Park Academy / The James Oglethorpe Primary School / Parsonage Farm Primary School / Redden Court School / Harold Wood Primary School / The RJ Mitchell Primary School) (Experimental) - (Pedestrian and Cycle Zone) Order 2022 which will come into operation on 4th March 2024.

2. The general effect of the Order will be to;

a) Make permanent the 'Pedestrian and Cycle' Zones between Monday and Friday (During term times only) as follows:-

b) between 8.00am - 9.00am and 2.30pm - 3.30pm Monday to Friday (During term times only) (Permit Holders S4) on;

i) Settle Road from its junction with Dagnam Park Drive

ii) Oakley Drive from its junction with Sheffield Drive and Settle Road

iii) Sheffield Drive from its junction with Settle Road and Dagnam Park Drive

iv) Sheffield Gardens from its junction with Sheffield Drive

v) Mawberry Grove from its junction with Sheffield Drive

c) between 8.00am - 9.00am and 2.30pm - 3.30pm Monday to Friday (During term times only) (Permit Holders S5) on;

i) Sedgefield Crescent from its junction with Dagnam Park Road

ii) Sedgefield Close from its junction with Sedgefield Crescent

d) between 8.20am - 9.15am and 3.00pm - 3.30pm Monday to Friday (During term times only) (Permit Holders S6) on;

i) Wych Elm Road from its junction with Wingletye Lane

ii) Bourne End and Wych Close from their junctions with Wych Elm Road

e) between 8.00am - 9.00am and 2.30pm - 3.30pm Monday to Friday (During term times only) (Permit Holders S7) on;

i) Westbury Terrace from its junction with St Marys Lane

ii) Ashvale Drive from its junction with Westbury Terrace

iii) Ashvale Gardens from its junction with Ashvale Drive

f) between 8.30am - 9.15am and 2.30pm - 3.30pm Monday to Friday (During term times only) (Permit Holders S8) on;

i) Farm Road from its junctions with Allen Road and Briscoe Road

g) between 8.15am - 9.00am and 2.30pm - 3.30pm Monday to Friday (During term times only) (Permit Holders S9) on;

i) Recreation Avenue from its junction with Squirrels Heath Road

ii) Upland Court Road from its junctions with Recreation Avenue and Cotswold Road

iii) Coombe Road from its junction with Recreation Avenue and Beltinge Road

iv) Ravensbourne Crescent from its junction with Coombe Road

v) Beltinge Road from its junction with Squirrels Heath Road and Coombe Road

vi) Cotswold Road from its junction with Squirrels Heath Road

h) between 8.20am - 9.05am and 2.30pm - 3.25pm Monday to Friday (During term times only) (Permit Holders S10) on;

i) Tangmere Crescent from its junction with Airfield Way

ii) Hawkinge Way from its junction with Tangmere Crescent

iii) Duxford Close from its junction with Tangmere Crescent

iv) Stansted Close from its junction with Tangmere Crescent

v) Bradwell Close from its junction with Tangmere Crescent

vi) Manston Way from its junction with Tangmere Crescent

vii) Fairlop Close and Rochford Close from their junctions with Manston Way

NB. Access will be permitted to qualifying School Street Permit holders only (prefix's') within the affected pedestrian and cycle zone.

3. Copies of the Orders, which will come into force on 4th March 2024, other relevant Orders, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders, can be requested by emailing Schemes@havering.gov.uk.

4. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant enabling Act or that a requirement of any such enabling Act or of any relevant regulations made there under has not been complied with may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, make application for this purpose to the High Court.
