Edinburgh, Quality Street - Traffic Restrictions.

ROADS (SCOTLAND) ACT 1984

The City of Edinburgh Council proposes to make an Order under sections 1(1) and 152(2) of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 redetermining the roads described in the Schedule hereto. The title of the Order is “The City of Edinburgh Council (Davidson’s Mains Roundabout, Edinburgh) (Redetermination of Means of Exercise of Public Right of Passage) Order 202-” – RSO/22/14. A copy of the proposed Order and of the accompanying plans showing the roads over which the means of exercise of the public right of passage is to be redetermined, together with a statement of the reasons for making the Order can be viewed free of charge, between 9:30 to 15:30 Mon-Fri from 23/02/24 to 22/03/24 at Waverley Court Reception or online during the same period at www.edinburgh.gov.uk/ trafficorders and www.tellmescotland.gov.uk. Any person may, within 28 days from 23/02/24 object to the making of the Order by notice, quoting reference RSO/22/14, in writing to Traffic Orders, Waverley Court, 4 East Market St, Edinburgh, EH8 8BG, or by e-mail to TRO.Consultations@edinburgh.gov.uk. Objections should state the name and address of the objector, the matters to which they relate and the grounds on which they are made.

Cramond Rd South and Main St All that part of the carriageway on the north-east side of Cramond Rd South and the north side of Main St, from a point 11.37m or thereby north-west of the intersection of the north-east kerbline of Cramond Rd South and the north kerbline of Main St, southeastwards and then eastwards to a point 21.85m or thereby eastwards of the intersection of the said extended kerblines and which has a width that varies from 0m or thereby to 3.37m or thereby. Main St and Quality St All that part of the carriageway on the south side of Main St and the east side of Quality St from a point 23.82m or thereby east of the intersection of the south kerbline of Main St and the east kerbline of Quality St, westwards then southwards to a point 18.77m or thereby south of the intersection of the said extended kerblines and which has a width that varies from 0m or thereby to 3.39m or thereby. Quality St All that part of the carriageway on west side of Quality St from the intersection of the extended south kerbline of East Barnton Gdns and the west kerbline of Quality St for a distance of 19.58m or thereby southwards and which has a width that varies from 0m or thereby to 2.84m of thereby. Cramond Rd South and East Barnton Gdns All that part of the carriageway on the southeast side of Cramond Rd South and the north side of East Barnton Gdns from a point 18.12m or thereby northwestwards of the intersection of the north kerbline of East Barnton Gdns and the south-east kerbline of Cramond Rd South, southwards then westwards to a point 6.14m or thereby west of the intersection of the said extended kerblines and which has a width that varies from 0m or thereby to 2.21m or thereby. Main St (Traffic Island on centre of road) All that part of the footway on the centre of Main St near its junction with Cramond Rd South and Quality St, from a point 10.33m or thereby east of the intersection of the extended east kerbline of Quality St and the south kerbline of Main St, eastwards for a distance of 7.52m or thereby and which has a width that varies from 3.43m or thereby to 1.36m or thereby. Cramond Rd South (Traffic Island on centre of road) All that part of the footway on the centre of Cramond Rd South near its junction with East Barnton Gdns and Main St, from a point 2.89m or thereby north-east, then from a point 1.05m or thereby north-west of the intersection of the extended southwest kerbline of Cramond Rd South and the north kerbline of East Barnton Gdns, north-westwards for a distance of 5.41m or thereby and which has a width that varies from 2.47m or thereby to 0.83m or thereby.
