Three Oaks Lane - Temporary Road Closure
What is happening?
EAST SUSSEX COUNTY COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
The East Sussex (C539 Three Oaks Lane, Wadhurst) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Three Oaks Lane – from the junction with C539 Turners Green to the junction with B2099 Station Hill.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible and an alternative route for through traffic via B2099 Station Hill, Durgates – B2100 Sparrows Green Road – C272 South View Road – C539 Turners Green and vice versa.
The Order commences 26 February 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.
However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 26 February 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C470 Priory Road, Forest Row) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Priory Road – from the junction with A22 London Road to the junction with C2 Hindleap Lane.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C2 Hindleap Lane – A22 Lewes Road, London Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 26 February 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 26 and 28 February 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C2 Plawhatch Lane, Sharpthorne) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Plawhatch Lane – from the junction with C469 Legsheath Lane to the junction with C401 Grinstead Lane.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C401 Grinstead Lane – C469 Legsheath Lane and vice versa.
The Order commences 14 March 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 14 March 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (B2188 Hendal Hill/Cherry Gardens Hill, Groombridge) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure Hendal Hill/Cherry Gardens Hill – from the junction with C251
Ladies Mile to the junction with B2110 Withyham Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2188 Plumyfeather Lane – Lye Green Road – Church Hill, Black Hill – B2026 High Road – Chuck Hatch Road – Cotchford Hill – Jib Jacks Hill – B2110 High Street – Castlefields – Withyham Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 11 March 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.
However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 11 and 28 March 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.
