What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF FOOTPATH STEVENAGE 17

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians from using that length of Footpath Stevenage 17, heading north and east from junction with Bridleway 17 toward junction with Stevenage 23, for an approximate distance of 450m.

Alternative Route: via Stevenage 23 and Stevenage 18.

The purpose of the Order is to enable drainage works to take place.

The section of Footpath Stevenage 17 will be closed on or after 11 March 2024 for up to 10 weeks, when signs are in place.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HITCHIN PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.080/HITCHIN PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.083) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using Hitchin Public Footpath No.080/Hitchin Public Footpath No.083 from its junction with Chaucer Way north westwards to its junction with Arnold Close ("the Public Footpaths"), a distance of approximately 578m. An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the north west side of Chaucer Way, Hitchin Public Footpath No.080, the footway situated on the north east side of St Michaels Road and the footway situated on the north west side of Arnold Close. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Public Footpaths.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 11 March 2024 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Public Footpaths.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE CYCLE TRACK SITUATED ON THE NORTH SIDE OF 'MOSS BURY PRIMARY SCHOOL AND NURSERY', STEVENAGE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedal cycles from using the cycle track situated on the north side of 'Moss Bury Primary School and Nursery', Stevenage from its junction with the cycle track situated on the west side of A1155 Fairlands Way north westwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 531m ("Cycle Track").

An alternative route will be via the cycle track situated on the west and north sides of A1155 Fairlands Way, the cycle track situated on the east side of Grace Way, the cycle track situated to the rear of Nos.417-479 Vardon Road and the cycle track leading to 'Hampson Park Community Centre'. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Cycle Track.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 26 February 2024 for a period of up to 6 months. However the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Cycle Track.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CODICOTE ROAD, WHITWELL AND ST PAULS WALDEN PUBLIC BYWAY OPEN TO ALL TRAFFIC NO.037 (NORTONSTREET LANE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be:-

1. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Codicote Road, Whitwell from its junction with B651 Hitchin Road south eastwards to its junction with St Pauls Walden Public Byway Open to All Traffic No.037 (Nortonstreet Lane), a distance of approximately 311m ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via B651 (Hitchin Road/Whitwell Road), B656 (London Road/ Hitchin Road), Whitwell Road and Codicote Road.

2. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from using St Pauls Walden Public Byway Open to All Traffic No.037 (Nortonstreet Lane) from its junction with Codicote Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 145m ("the Byway Open to All Traffic").

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties along this Byway Open to All Traffic will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because electrical service works are proposed to be executed near the Road and Byway Open to All Traffic. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 26 February 2024 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road and Byway Open to All Traffic. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE FOOTPATH FRONTING 'HOLY TRINITY CHURCH', STEVENAGE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the footpath fronting 'Holy Trinity Church', Stevenage from its easternmost junction with Letchmore Road south westwards, north westwards and south westwards for its entire length ("the Footpath").

An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the west and south sides of Letchmore Road and the footway situated on the east side of High Street.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpath.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 11 March 2024 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Footpath.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE CYCLE TRACK SITUATED ON THE EAST SIDE OF B197 NORTH ROAD, STEVENAGE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedal cycles from using the cycle track situated on the east side of B197 North Road, Stevenage from its junction with B197 North Road north eastwards and north westwards for a distance of approximately 118m ("the Cycle Track").

An alternative route will be via B197 North Road, the cycle track situated on the north side of A602 Lytton Way, Franklin Road, the cycle track situated on the east side of A602 Hitchin Road and the cycle track situated on the south side of A1072 Martins Way.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Cycle Track.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 11 March 2024 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Cycle Track.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS IN STEVENAGE AND HITCHIN) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1. that length of Bawdsey Close, Stevenage from its junction with Sheringham Avenue north eastwards, north westwards and south eastwards for its entire length.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

2. the road situated to the rear of Nos.365-369 Canterbury Way, Stevenage from its junction with Canterbury Way north eastwards and north westwards for its entire length.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

3. the road situated to the rear of Nos.91-107 Vardon Road, Stevenage from its junction with Vardon Road north eastwards, north westwards and south eastwards for its entire length.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

4. the service road fronting Nos.117-143 Wymondley Road, Hitchin from its westernmost junction with Halsey Drive south eastwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 238m.

An alternative route will be via Halsey Drive, Wymondley Road and Halsey Drive.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 11 March 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF KINGSLAND WAY, ASHWELL) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Kingsland Way, Ashwell from its junction with Ashwell Street north westwards to its junction with Silver Street, a distance of approximately 158m ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Ashwell Street, Claybush Road, Ashwell Road, Bygrave Road, A507 (North Road/Great North Road), Newnham Road, Ashwell Road, Newnham Way, West End, High Street and Kingsland Way.

The Order is needed because the replacement of existing utility poles is proposed to be executed near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 12 March 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF SOUTHERN GREEN, RUSHDEN) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access:-

1. that length of Southern Green, Rushden from a point 206m south east of its junction with Rushden and Wallington Public Footpath No.043 south eastwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 118m.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

2. that length of Southern Green, Rushden from a point 287 metres south east of its junction with Rushden and Wallington Public Footpath No.043 south eastwards and south westwards for its entire length.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 11 March 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Damask Green Road, Weston from its junction with Warrens Green Lane north westwards and north eastwards to its junction with Rowan Close, a distance of approximately 1698m ("the Road").

An alternative route will be via Weston Road, Calder Way, Orwell Avenue, Great Ashby Way, Canterbury Way, A1072 Martins Way, A1155 Verity Way, B1037 (Fairlands Way/Stevenage Road/High Street/White Hill), C14 (unnamed road), Halls Green, Maiden Street and Damask Green Road.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 28 February 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
