D265 Lower Road, Effingham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 21 February 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D265 Lower Road, Effingham that extends from its junction with C43 The Street, to the western side of its junction with D266 Church Street.

This Traffic Order is required to enable BT Openreach to carry out desilting and/or telegraph pole replacement and/or cabling and/or connection and/or maintenance works.

These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 3:30pm within 1 day of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 25 February 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.

Alternative route: – Lower Road, The Lorne, Guildford Road and The Street.

Service Road Fronting No.5 to No.47 School Road (D3260) Ashford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 21 February 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of the Service Road Fronting No.5 to No.47 School Road (D3260) Ashford; (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Service Road Fronting No.5 to No.47 School Road (D3260) Ashford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” in its entirety.

Alternative Route: (B378) School Road.

This Order is required to facilitate gas mains replacement works for, or on behalf of Cadent Gas.

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 8 weeks, 24 hours per day, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 04 March 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.

Amlets Lane (D191) Cranleigh
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 21 February 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Amlets Lane (D191) Cranleigh.

Alternative Route: (D192) Barhatch Lane, (B2127) Ewhurst Road, (B2128) High Street, and (D182) Horseshoe Lane, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate mains water reinforcement works for, or on behalf of Thames Water. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 months between the hours of 7.30am and 7pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 04 March 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians. Cyclists and equestrians will need to wait to be escorted through the site. Feltham Hill Road (D6205) and Southfields Avenue Ashford

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 21 February 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road 

Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Feltham Hill Road (D6205) Ashford as extends from its junction with (D3270) Chessholme Road to its junction with (D3270) Redleaves Avenue; and (b) Southfields Avenue Ashford as extends from its junction with Feltham Hill Road (D6205) Ashford and for a distance of 25 metres along Southfields Avenue.

Alternative Route: (1) Feltham Hill Road, (B378) School Road, (A308) Staines Road West, Chertsey Road, and Feltham Hill Road, or this route in reverse; (2) Southfields Avenue, Redleaves Avenue, and Feltham Hill Road, or this route in reverse; (3) Park Road, New Park Road, Poplar Road, and Feltham Hill Road, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate pedestrian safety improvement works for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 weeks, between the hours of 8am and 5pm within 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 04 March 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed; and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained only when safe to do so, if necessary, via the diversion route. All other traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.

Spurfield (D6943) West Molesey
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 21 February 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Spurfield (D6943) West Molesey which extends from the northwestern property boundary line of “No. 12 Spurfield” to the southwestern property boundary line of “No. 20 Spurfield”.

Alternative Route – Kelvinbrook (D6943), Mountwood (D6943) and Spurfield (D6943) or the same route in reverse. The Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom work, which is anticipated to be completed within 2 days, between 9:30am and 3:30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 28 February 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians, cyclists, emergency vehicles and residents will be maintained within the closure.

D3886 Waverley Road, Weybridge
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 21 February 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of D3886 Waverley Road, Weybridge.

This Traffic Order is required to enable Affinity Water to fit a stop tap and/or boundary box and/or to carry out water mains service pipe repairs and/or connection and/or maintenance works in D3886 Waverley Road, Weybridge that extends from its junction with D3886 Melrose Road, southward for 30m.

These works are anticipated to be carried out from 8am to 4pm, within 1 day of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 26 February 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency vehicles, residents and businesses will be maintained at all times via the alternative route: – Melrose Road, Heath Road and Waverley Road.

Station Lane (C32) Enton
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 21 February Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Station Lane (C32) Enton that is crossed by the level crossing known as “Milford Level Crossing” and for a distance of 20 meters on either side.

Alternative Route – Station Lane; A286 Church Road / Petworth Road; Lane End; Malthouse Lane; Hambledon Road; and Station Lane or this same route in reverse.

The Order is required to facilitate railwway crossing maintenance and/or railway inspection and/or railway maintenance works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Network Rail within the length of road described in this notice.

These works are anticipated to be carried out within the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 28 February 2024. Works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 nights between the hours of 12.30pm and 3.30am commencing 17 March 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, pedestrians, and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access for the emergency services will be via the diversion route.

Hersham Road (A244) Walton-on-Thames
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 21 February 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Hersham Road (A244) Walton-on-Thames which extends from its junction with The Chestnuts to its junction with Hurley Close.

This Order is required to enable Marshall Surfacing Contracts Ltd to facilitate development related works, namely: raising mini roundabouts, hydro-blasting and new lining works, and footway works and/or any other associated works, which is anticipated to be completed within 2 nights, between 8pm and 5am, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 29 February 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. Alternative Route – Ashley Road and Station Avenue or vice versa.

Fordwater Road (B387) Chertsey
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Fordwater Road (B387) Chertsey.

Alternative Route: (1) Stepgates, Free Prae Road, and (A317) Eastworth Road; (2) (A317) Chertsey Road, (A317) St Peters Way, (A317) Chertsey Road, (A317) Eastworth Road, Free Prae Road, and Stepgates. This Order is required to facilitate mains gas replacement works, for or on behalf of Morrisons Utilities.

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 18 weeks between the hours of 7am and 7pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 18 March 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.

Charles Street (D3018) Chertsey
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Charles Street (D3018) Chertsey.

Alternative Route: Station Road, King Street, and (A317) Eastworth Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate sewer cover replacement works for, or on behalf of Thames Water.

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day between the hours of 10am and 3pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 18 March 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.

Knowle Lane (D184) Cranleigh
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Knowle Lane (D184) Cranleigh as extends from its junction with (D183) Wildwood Lane to its junction with (D185) Hogspudding Lane; and (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Various Roads in Waverley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.6) 2023” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in part (a) of this Notice.

Alternative Route: Wildwood Lane, (A281) Guildford Road, (A281) Horsham Road, (A281) Guildford Road, Hillhouse Lane, and Knowle Lane, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate utility works for, or on behalf of Network Plus. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 6 weeks between the hours of 8am and 5pm during 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 18 March 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.

Star Hill (D125) Churt, Farnham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Star Hill (D125) Churt, Farnham which extends from its junction with Churt Road (A287) to its junction with Star Hill Drive (X83060).

Alternative Route – Churt Road (A287) and Lampard Lane (D125) or the same route in reverse.

The Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works which is anticipated to be completed within 3 days, between 9:30am and 3:30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 18 March 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians, emergency vehicles, residents and cyclists will be maintained at all times.

College Avenue (D3171) Egham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of College Avenue (D3171) Egham which extends from its junction with Mead Close (D3171) to the northern property boundary line of “1 Collage Avenue”.

Alternative Route – No diversion route available.

The Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 9:30am and 3:30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 21 March 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Various Roads in Guildford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.3) 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate resurfacing of carriageway and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 13 March 2024.

Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

1. That length of Merrow Woods (D4010) Guildford which extends from the property boundary line between No.39 and No.41 Merrow Woods to the north-eastern property boundary line of 5 to 8 Bishop Parkhurst. Alternative Route – D4010 Merrow Woods; 2. That length of Bushy Hill (D4011) Guildford which extends from its junction with Martins Close to its junction with Sheeplands Avenue. 

Alternative Route – D4011 Sheeplands Avenue and D4011 Banders Rise; 3. That length of Epsom Road (A246) East Clandon which extends from its junction with C40 The Street to its junction with A247 The Street. Alternative Route – A246 Epsom Road, A246 Guildford Road, A246 Guildford Road, A246 Leatherhead Road, A246 Young Street, A24 London Road, A24 Mickleham By Pass, A24 London Road, A2003 Ashcombe Road, A2003 Chalkpit Lane, A2003 Station Road, A25 Westcott Road, A25 Guildford Road, A25 Coast Hill, A25 Guildford Road, A25 Dorking Road, A25 Station Road, A25 Shere Road and A25 Shere Road.

Cadbury Road (A244) Sunbury-on-Thames
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Cadbury Road (A244) Sunbury-on-Thames which extends from its junction with Staiens Road West to the northern property boundary line of No. 142 Cadbury Road.
This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate resurfacing of carriageway and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 15 March 2024.

Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Alternative Route – A244 Cadbury Road, A308 Staines Road West, A308 Sunbury Cross Roundabout, C230 Vicarage Road and C233 Groveley Road.

The Street (C40) West Horsley
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to:- (a) prohibit vehicles, equestrians and cyclists from entering or proceeding in that length of The Street (C40) West Horsley which extends from its junction with Ripley Lane to its junction with Long Reach; and (b) suspend “Surrey County Council The Street (C41) West Horsley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” in its entirety.

This Order is required to enable Thames Water to facilitate water works/sewer works and/or manhole cover replacement works, which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 10am and 3pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 14 March 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure and suspension of the Order will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians. Access for buses may be affected.

Alternative Route – The Street, Epsom Road, Ockham Road South, Ockham Road North and East Lane.
