A1068 Choppington Road - Temporary Road Closure

A1068 CHOPPINGTON ROAD CHOPPINGTON
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the A1068 Choppington Road Choppington for a distance of 40 metres, 20 metres either side of the level crossing in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 15th March 2024 until the 16th March 2024.
It is expected that the road will only be closed between the hours of 19:00 and 07:00 during this period.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the 1068, A196, A1147, A189, A193, A1068 and vice-versa.

The closure has been requested by Chevron TM on behalf of Network Rail to carry out under road crossing rectification works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
