Firwood Lane - Temporary Traffic Prohibition
What is happening?

(FIRWOOD LANE, SAMLESBURY, SOUTH RIBBLE BOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this Order.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over that length of Firwood Lane, Samlesbury from Firwood Farm for 50 metres in an easterly direction.
2. Nothing in this Order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative from 0930 hours until 1530 hours on Tuesday 27th February 2024 or until completion of the works within this period. Access to be maintained wherever and whenever possible.
4. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:
Goosefoot Lane – Roach Road
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow pole installation works to be carried out by Sunbelt Rentals on behalf of BT Openreach.
