What is happening?
SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all users: A) Bridleway 6 (Part), Ramsbury; from its junction with Footpath 8C, Ramsbury for a distance of approximately 290m in a south easterly direction. B) Footpath 8C (Part), Ramsbury; from its junction with Bridleway 6, Ramsbury for a distance of approximately 30m in a north westerly direction to enable to undertake works associated with planning permission. Alternative route via public rights of way network and alternative route provided. The closures and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order which was due to expire on 28 February 2024 will now continue in force until 28 February 2025 or until completion of the works, whichever is earliest. Alternative route via C76 (unaffected length) -B4042 - C88 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 18 March 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 07:00 and 17:00 until 22 March 2024. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 19 March 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 15:30 for 1 day. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 26 February 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 22:00 and 06:00 until 09 March 2024. This Order will come into operation on 26 February 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 2 days. This Order will come into operation on 26 February 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00 for 3 days. M) C415 (Part), Royal Wootton Bassett and Broad Town; from its junction with C15 for a distance of approximately 200m in a south easterly direction to enable Thames Water to carry out work to set up a new connection and other associated works. This Order which previously came into operation on 30 August 2023 will now recommence on 27 February 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 until for 1 night. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily, to all vehicles, the lengths of roads and footpath specified in Schedule
1 to this notice and to temporary suspend the existing one one-way Order on the length of road specified in Schedule 2 to this notice The Orders are required to enable water mains replacement and other associated works and will be operative from the 18 March 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. The closures are anticipated to be for up to 6 weeks but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works. It is anticipated that advance signs will be deployed
2 weeks prior to the closure dates. Access will be maintained where possible although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. Closures 1-2 are anticipated to take place between 18 March 2024 and 12 July 2024. Closures 3-4 are anticipated to take place between 15 July 2024 and 23 August 2024. ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (HORTON ROAD, BISHOPS CANNINGS) (40MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council proposes to make the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to revoke The County of Wiltshire (Horton Road, Bishops Cannings) (50mph Speed Limit) Order 2011 and to introduce a 40mph speed limit on Horton Road, Bishops Cannings - from a point 20 metres north east of its roundabout junction with A361 London Road to a point 56 metres north east of its junction with Marlborough Close. Deposit copies of the Order, plan and Statement of the Council's Reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge during normal office hours. HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 SECTION 118 AND WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 THE WILTSHIRE COUNCIL PARISH OF CALNE PATH 25 (PART) EXTINGUISHMENT AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2023
The above order, confirmed as made on 15 February 2024 under Section 118 of the Highways Act 1980, will extinguish the entire width of that length of path over land situated 55 Wessington Park, Calne in the parish of Calne leading from OSGR ST 0046-7015 in a broadly north north westerly direction for approximately 26m to OSGR ST 0045-7017. If confirmed the order will also have the effect of modifying the Calne Urban District Council Area Definitive Map and statement dated 1953 accordingly.
