Nottinghamshire - Multiple Road Closures to Carry Out Microasphalt Surfacing Works
What is happening?

MEXBOROUGH ROAD, SELSTON &
SUTTON IN ASHFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF
DRIVING) ORDER 2024 (A24-023)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire
County Council intends not less than seven days from
the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section
14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as
amended, in respect of roads at Selston and Sutton in
Ashfield in the District of Ashfield.
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the
following length of roads, listed in paragraph 3:
2. Vehicles are prohibited from waiting, loading, and
unloading (Both sides, 07:30-17:00) in the following
length of roads, listed in paragraph 3: -

a. Searby Road - from its junction with Sotheby Avenue
to its junction with Barnhill Gardens.
b. Weston Close - for its full length of road.
c. Roundhill Close - for its full length of road.
d. Holland Crescent - for its full length of road.
e. Upper Mexborough Road - for its full length of road.
4. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily
suspended as required.
5. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect
when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above
road or roads will apply as follows:
From 07:30 hours on Monday 4th March 2024
Until 17:00 hours on Friday 29th March 2024
The Order will come into force on Monday 4th March
2024 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and
any subsequent day when necessary to enable works
to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until
the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18
months).
The prohibition is required to enable Via East Midlands to
carry out Microasphalt surfacing works;
