What is happening?

OXFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

(MIDDLETON STONEY PARISH) (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 20**

NOTICE is given that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the order

- in support of road safety issues - is to introduce a 20mph speed limit within Middleton Stoney, replacing the majority of the 30mph speed limit in the process, leading out to the following points:

1. B430 Ardley Road - 295 metres northwest of the B4030 Heyford Road,

2. B430 Oxford Road - 60 metres southeast of the B4030 Bicester Road,

3. B4030 Bicester Road - 480 metres east of the B430 Oxford Road,

4. B4030 Heyford Road - 60 metres northwest of Bulmarsh Close.

Additionally, a 30mph speed limit will be introduced in place of the existing 40mph speed limit as follows:

5. B430 Ardley Road - from a point 295 metres northwest of its junction with the B4030 Heyford Road, northwards for a distance of 206 metres.

A 195 metre length of 30mph speed limit will be retained as a 'buffer' limit on the B430 Oxford Road at the southern approach to the village, with Officers having taken the current road environment & traffic usage into account.

The Order may be cited as the Oxfordshire County Council (Middleton Stoney Parish) (Speed Limits) Order 2003 will be revoked/replaced as necessary. Objections to the proposals and other representations specifying the grounds on which they are made may be sent in writing to the address below by the end 15 March 2024. (ARDLEY PARISH) (SPEED LIMITS) 20**

NOTICE is given that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the order - in support of road safety issues - is to introduce a 20mph speed limit within Ardley (with Fewcott) replacing the existing 30mph speed limit in its entirety, leading out to the following points:

1. Somerton Road:

a. Western end - a point 115 metres west of its junction with Water Lane

b. Eastern end - its junction with the B430

2. Fritwell Road - a point 580 metres northwest of its junction with Water Lane,

3. Church Road - its junction with the B430,

4. Ardley Road (west of B430) - its junction with the B430.

Additionally - as a result of feedback from the previous consultation in September 2023

- the existing 40mph speed limit on the B430, and Ardley Road (east of the B430) will be replaced by a new 30mph speed limit as follows:

5. B430 Station Road - from a point 80 metres north of its junction with Ardley Road (west of B430), southwards to a point 265 metres south of its junction with Church Road,

6. Ardley Road (east of B430) - from its junction with Station Road, south-eastwards for a distance of 85 metres.

The Oxfordshire County Council (Ardley Parish) (Speed Limits) Order 2003 will be revoked/ replaced as necessary.

(STEEPLE ASTON PARISH) (20MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 20**

NOTICE is given that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.

The effect of the order - in support of road safety issues - is to introduce a 20mph speed limit within Steeple Aston, replacing the existing 30mph speed limit in its entirety, leading out to the following points:

1. Fenway - a point 55 metres west of its junction with Coneygar Fields,

2. Fir Lane - a point 325 metres north of its junction with North Side,

3. Heyford Road - a point 200 metres south of its junction with the southern leg of The Crescent,

4. South Side - a point 196 metres west of its junction with Water Lane.

The Oxfordshire County Council (Steeple Aston Parish) (Speed Limit) Order 2003 will be revoked/replaced as necessary.

(HETHE PARISH) (20MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 20**

NOTICE is given that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic

Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the order

- in support of road safety issues - is to introduce a 20mph speed limit within Hethe, replacing the existing 30mph speed limit in its entirety, leading out to the following points:

1. Bainton Road - a point 95 metres south of its junction with Hardwick Road,

2. Hardwick Road - a point 315 metres northwest of its junction with Bainton Road,

3. Main Street - a point 125 metres southwest of Cottisford Road.

The Oxfordshire County Council (Hethe Parish) (Speed Limit) Order 2003 will be revoked/ replaced as necessary.
