What is happening?

KIRKLEES COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 - 

(WARWICK ROAD, BATLEY) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. 2) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN  that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Warwick Road, Batley from its junction with

Town Street to its junction with Taylor Street PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Town Street, Bradford Road, Taylor Street and vice versa. It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 11th March 2024 and remain in force until 13th March 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(PENNINE VIEW, BIRSTALL, BATLEY) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN  that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Pennine View, Birstall from its junction with Nab Lane to a point adjacent XPO Logistics Exit PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Pheasant Drive, Pennine View and vice versa. It is intended that the closure will commence at 21:00 hours on Wednesday, 13th March 2024 and remain in force until 05:00 hours on 14th March 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(SCHOLES LANE/WALTON LANE/HALIFAX ROAD, CLECKHEATON) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) AND (NO RIGHT TURN) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN  that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the following lengths of road in Cleckheaton:

Road Closure

Scholes Lane - from its junction with Halifax Road to its junction with Manor Street

No Right Turn

Walton Lane - from Walton Lane onto Halifax Road

Halifax Road - from Halifax Road onto Walton Lane

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Halifax Road, Moorside, Moorbottom, Westgate, Parkside, Dewsbury Road, Bradford Road, Scott Lane, Whitcliffe Road, Turnsteads Avenue, Whitechapel Road, New Road East, Scholes Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 11th March 2024 and remain in force until 15th March 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(CALDER ROAD, LOWER HOPTON, MIRFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER

2024 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN  that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Calder Road, Lower Hopton from its junction with Johnson Street to its junction with Marshall Street Dated this 22 February 2024. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Calder Road, Newgate, Back Station Road, Hopton New Road, Granny Lane, Hopton Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on Monday, 26th February 2024 between 19:30 - 21:30 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(SMALLWOOD ROAD, SHAW CROSS, DEWSBURY)   (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN  that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Smallwood Road, Shaw Cross from a point outside property no. 3 to a point outside property no. 7 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

There is no alternative diversionary route available.  Access maintained for residents and Emergency Vehicles only.

It is intended that the closure will operate on Monday, 26th February 2024 between 09:30 - 13:30 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(WOOD STREET, DEWSBURY)  (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN  that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Wood Street, Dewsbury from its junction with Greaves Road to a point outside Myton Kitchens Limited PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

There is no alternative diversionary route available.  Access maintained for residents and Emergency Service Vehicles only. It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 26th February 2024 and remain in force until 1st March 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(HEPWORTH LANE, MIRFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) AND (SUSPENSION OF ONE WAY TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN  that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Hepworth Lane, Mirfield from a point outside property no. 14 to its junction with Hepworth Close PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Hepworth Lane, Wellhouse Lane, Flash Lane and vice versa.

To facilitate the diversionary route the existing “One Way” restrictions on Hepworth Lane has been temporarily suspended for the duration of the closure.

It is intended that the closure will operate on Thursday, 29th February 2024 between 08:00 - 17:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(BRADFORD ROAD/WHITEHALL ROAD EAST/WHITEHALL ROAD WEST, BIRKENSHAW, BRADFORD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN  that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the following lengths of road in Birkenshaw as follows:

Bradford Road - from approximately 100 metres north of Halfway House roundabout to a point approximately 100 metres in a southerly direction

Whitehall Road East - from its junction with Halfway House roundabout for approximately 100 metres in an easterly direction

Whitehall Road West - from its junction with Halfway House roundabout for approximately 100 metres in a westerly direction

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the folloiwng routes:Bradford Road Diversion – via A651 Bradford Road, A650 Tong Street, A650 Westgate Hill Street, A650 to Drighlington roundabout, A650 Drighlington Bypass, A650 Wakefield Road, A62 Gelderd Road, A62 Huddersfield Road, A652 Bradford Road/Dewsbury Road, A643 Church Lane, A651 Bradford Road and vice versa. Whitehall Road East/Whitehall Road West Diversion – via A58 Whitehall Road East, A650 Drighlington roundabout, A650 Drighlington Bypass, A650 Wakefield Road, A62 Gelderd Road, A62 Huddersfield Road, A652 Bradford Road/Dewsbury Road, A643 Church Lane, A643 Spen Lane, A643 Spen Bank, A643 St Peg Lane, A638 Dewsbury Road, A638 Bradford Road, Chainbar roundabout, A58 Whitehall Road West and vice versa. It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 26th February 2024 and remain in force until 8th March 2024 between 18:00 - 23:59 hours each day (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(BATLEY FIELD HILL, UPPER BATLEY, BATLEY) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION  OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN  that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Batley Field Hill, Upper Batley from its junction with Bradford Road to its junction with Timothy Lane  PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Bradford Road, Huddersfield Road, Howden Clough Road, Bruntcliffe Road, Scotchman Lane, Timothy Lane and vice versa. 

It is intended that the closure will commence on Saturday, 24th February 2024 and remain in force until 3rd March 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(THE GREEN, EAST BIERLEY, BRADFORD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)  ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN  that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of The Green, East Bierley from its junction with Hunsworth Lane to its junction with South View Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Hunsworth Lane, South View Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Saturday, 24th February 2024 and remain in force until 25th February 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
