Lissadel Street, Scarsdale Street And Frederick Road - Temporary Road Closure

What is happening?

The Council of the City of Salford intends in no less than seven days to make the following Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984: the CITY OF SALFORD (LISSADEL STREET, SCARSDALE STREET AND FREDERICK ROAD, SALFORD (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024.

The Order will close to vehicles the following lengths of road -
1. (i) Lissadel Street, from its junction with the B6186 Frederick Road for a distance of 80 metres in a south easterly direction; and (ii) Scarsdale Street, full length.
2. B6186 Frederick Road, between its junctions with Lissadel Street and Leslie Hough Way.
The Order is necessary for works to be undertaken on or near the roads. The closures will take effect on Lissadel Street and Scarsdale Street from 25 March 2024 and are expected to continue for five weeks. The works will then move onto Frederick Road (anticipated to be 30 April), requiring a further five weeks’ closure - although the closures may continue in effect as required by the progress of the works, up to 18 June 2024. The Order is due to come into operation on 25 March 2024 as required by the Lissadel Street / Scarsdale Street closures and will continue in effect as specified above.
