Sandwell - Various Temporary Road Works

The Borough Council of Sandwell (Causeway Green Road, Oldbury) (Temporary One-Way Road Closure) and (Wolverhampton Road, Oldbury) (No Right Turn Restriction) Order 2024 has made an order to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Causeway Green Road in a south westerly direction from the junction of Wolverhampton Road to the gable end of property No.263, and Wolverhampton Road (southerly direction) will have a no right turn restriction for access to Causeway Green Road. Access to any affected frontages will be maintained, but only when safety permits. A traffic diversion route (southerly direction) will be signed via Wolverhampton Road, Pound Road (eastbound) to the roundabout at the junction of Moat Road and Pound Road (westbound). A traffic diversion route (northerly direction) will be signed via Wolverhampton Road to the Brichley Island Roundabout, Wolverhampton Road (southbound), Pound Road (eastbound) to the roundabout at the junction of Moat Road and Pound Road (westbound). The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected to be completed by 25/02/2024 effective from 24/02/2024 (24hr). Purpose – to facilitate access to lay a new gas service by Cadent Gas Ltd. 

The Borough Council of Sandwell (Brookfields Road, Oldbury) (Temporary One-Way Road Closure) and (Keanscott Drive, Oldbury) (Temporary No Right Turn Ban) Order 2024 has made an order to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Brookfields Road one-way in a north-westerly direction from the junction of Keanscott Drive (north-western side) to the junction of Vicarage Road. Access to any affected frontages will be maintained, but only when safety permits. Traffic will be diverted via Reservoir Road, Dog Kennel Lane and Vicarage Road. A second traffic diversion route will be signed via Bristnall Hall Road, Dog Kennel Lane and Vicarage Road (a more suitable route for HGV and larger vehicles). Keanscott Drive will be subject to a temporary no right turn ban for vehicles to Brookfields Road. The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected to be completed by 01/03/2024 effective from 26/02/2024 (24hr). Purpose – to facilitate access to disconnect two gas services from the main located in the carriageway by Cadent Gas Ltd.
