What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
B6417 MANSFIELD ROAD, OXCROFT
TEMPORARY 40 MPH / 30 MPH SPEED LIMIT
WHEN: 11th March 2024 to 15th March 2024 (operating between 09:30 and 15:30 for any 3 days within this period)
WHERE: It will be necessary to prohibit traffic from travelling at a speed in excess of 40 mph with a further reduction to 30 mph, (10 mph under convoy working) on B6417 Mansfield Road, Oxcroft, from a point approx. 100 metres south of its junction with Highfields, to a point approx. 1.7 kilometres south of that point.
REASON: To facilitate carriageway patching works.
The restriction will be in force for the time stated or until the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.
Derbyshire County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused while work takes place.

The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit traffic from travelling at a speed in excess of 40mph / 30 mph on the length of road specified, and to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding at a speed in excess of 10 mph along the length of road specified where operatives and plant are working on site.
This will be operated on a convoy system with a lead vehicle controlling traffic speeds to protect the workforce.
