What is happening?

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
A61 NORTHBOUND ON SLIP, CHESTERFIELD
WHEN: 26th February 2024 to 9th March 2024 (19:00 to 05:00 each night)
WHERE: A61 Northbound On Slip, Chesterfield from its junction with Hollis Lane, in its entirety.
REASON: To facilitate carriageway resurfacing works on the A61 Inner Relief Road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Clockwise Only - A632, Spital Lane, St Leonards Drive, B6039, A617 Bypass, Hornsbridge Interchange, A617, Lordsmill Interchange, B6543 Lordsmill Street / St Mary's Gate / Holywell Street, Donut Interchange, B6057 Sheffield Road /Station Road to Whittington Interchange.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.
Derbyshire County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused while work takes place. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190.
The County Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
