What is happening?

SHEFFIELD CITY COUNCIL
(VARIOUS ROADS AT SHEFFIELD)

(WEIGHT, WIDTH AND HEIGHT RESTRICTIONS) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER

2009 (AMENDMENT NO. ) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Sheffield City Council proposes to make an Order
under the provisions of Sections 1, 2(1) to 2(4), 4(2), 32(1), 35(1), 45, 46, 46A, 49,
51, 53 and 124(1)(c), (d) (f) and Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order will be to:
- Introduce a weight limit of 18 Tonnes on part of Furnace Lane;
- Introduce a weight limit of 7.5 Tonnes on part of Meadow Gate Lane.
A copy of the proposed Order, a plan showing the roads concerned and a statement
of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be examined during
normal opening hours at First Point Reception, Howden House, 1 Union Street,
Sheffield, S1 2SH or on the City Council Website at
www.sheffield.gov.uk/home/roads-pavements/traffic-orders .
Any observations, either supporting or objecting to the proposed Order, including the
grounds for your objection, should be sent in writing to the undersigned by the 14
March 2024.
