What is happening?
DEFINITIVE MAP REVIEW OF PUBLIC RIGHTS OF WAY PARISH OF CHARDSTOCK SCHEDULE 14 APPLICATION INFORMAL CONSULTATION
The Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 requires the County Council to keep the Definitive Map of public rights of way under continuous review and to make modifications where it appears that routes should be added, regraded, amended or deleted.
Your views and any relevant evidence are sought on the following proposal for modifying the Definitive Map for Chardstock.
Schedule 14 application: Claimed footpath along Stockstyle Lane, between Footpath No. 24 and the Unclassified County Road, points A-B on the proposal map CCET/PROW/24/7. Grid ref: ST 3075 0514 - SY 3088 0514
The Definitive Map and Statement is a legal record of public rights of way. There are four categories: Footpath, Bridleway, Restricted Byway and Byway Open to All Traffic. Maps showing the existing rights of way, and the above proposal for modifying the Definitive Map, are available for inspection by appointment at: the Clerk to Chardstock Parish Council, by appointment; East Devon District Council, Blackdown House, Border Road, Heathpark Industrial Estate, Honiton, EX14 1EJ; the Public Rights of Way Team, Devon County Council, Great Moor House, Bittern Road, Sowton, Exeter, EX2 7NL and on Devon County Council's website
