What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
PART OF DUN STREET SWINTON ROTHERHAM
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Dun Street, Swinton from its junction with A6022 Bridge Street to the north western kerb line of Walker Street on Thursday 7th. March and Friday 8th. March 2024.
NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order will be via Walker Street, New Station Road, Bridge Street and vice versa.
The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (New water connection).

PART OF PUBLIC BRIDLEWAY NO.16 HARTHILL SHEFFIELD
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS AND HORSE RIDERS)
NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any pedestrian and horse rider from proceeding along that part of Public Bridleway No.16 Harthill commencing from its junction with Hard Lane at Grid reference SK 4929 8127 and proceeding in a westerly direction for a distance of 100 metres from Monday 4th March 2024 for a period of three weeks.
NOTICE is further given that there is no alternative route for pedestrians and horse riders affected by the order.
The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the bridleway (Drainage works).

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of A6178 Sheffield Road its junction with Sheffield Road Ickles Way Roundabout to its junction with A630 Centenary Way from Monday 4th March until Sunday 24th March 2024 between the hours of 7pm and 5am.
NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via Centenary Way, College
Road Roundabout, New Wortley Road, New Wortley Road Roundabout, Rhymers Roundabout, Wilton Gardens, Wilton Lane, Meadow Bank Road, A631 M1 J34 North Roundabout, A631 from M1 J34 North Roundabout to M1 J34 South Roundabout, Tinsley Viaduct, A631 M1 J34 South Roundabout, Sheffield Road and vice versa.
The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Resurfacing).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of B6066 Whitehill Lane, Brinsworth from its junction with A631 Bawtry Road to its junction with Lodge Way on Sunday 3rd. March 2024.
NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via A631 Bawtry Road, Brinsworth Lane, Whitehill Road and vice versa.
The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Telecom works).

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Hardwick Lane from a point approximately 275m north of Worksop Road service road for a distance of approximately 50m in a northerly direction on Wednesday 6th. March and Thursday 7th. March 2024.
NOTICE is further given that there is no alternative route for vehicles affected, the road is a cul de sac.
The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the part of road (New telecom pole).

PART OF MAIN STREET NORTH ANSTON SHEFFIELD
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Main Street, North Anston from its junction with Penny Piece Lane for a distance of approximately 100m in a westerly direction from Tuesday 5th. March until Thursday 7th. March 2024.
NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order will be via Main Street, Hillside, Main Street slip road, Ryton Road, Worksop Road, Sheffield Road, Mill Lane and vice versa.
The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (New water connection).

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of The Meadows from its southern junction with Mill Close for a distance of approximately 30m in a southerly direction from Monday 4th. March until Friday 8th. March 2024.
NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via The Meadows, Kiveton Lane, Mill Hills and vice versa.
The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Water repairs).

NOTICE OF PUBLIC PATH ORDER
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990
PUBLIC FOOTPATH NOS. 2 AND 3 CATCLIFFE ROTHERHAM (PART)
PUBLIC FOOTPATH STOPPING UP ORDER 2024
The above order was made on 19th February 2024 under section 257 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990. The effect of the order will be to stop up the public footpath running from the point at Grid Reference SK 4215 8842 and proceeding in a west north westerly direction for a distance of 110m to Grid Reference SK4204 8844. Then commencing from Grid Reference 4190 8847 and proceeding in a west north westerly direction for 185m to grid Reference SK 4171 8850.
Also that part of Public Footpath No.2 commencing from Grid Reference
SK 4178 8849 and proceeding in a north westerly direction for 28m to Grid Reference SK 4177 8852 and then north easterly for 40m to Grid Reference 4182 8853 as shown on the order map.
A copy of the order and order map may be seen free of charge at the offices of the Head of Legal Services from 9.30 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. between Monday and Friday.
Callers are requested to quote NF/72089 (e-mail Legal-TRO@rotherham.gov.uk). Copies of the order and order map may be bought there for the reasonable cost of photocopying.
Any representations about or objections to the order may be sent or delivered in writing to the Head of Legal Services at the address below, quoting the above reference, not later than 22nd. March 2024. Respondents are requested to state the grounds on which their representations or objections are made.
If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Council may itself confirm the order as an unopposed order. If the order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation, any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order.
