Highways Notice
NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC –
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – Hobson Street/
Ryle Street, Macclesfield
Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council
in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers proposes
to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily
prohibit traffic.
Prohibition of traffic – Hobson Street, Macclesfield –
For the full extent.
Ryle Street, Macclesfield – For the full extent.
The alternative route will be via Cholmondeley Street,
Peel Street, Park Lane, Hobson Street and vice versa which is
considered the most suitable route.
This order will come into operation on Monday 11 March 2024
and will continue in force for 36 months or for such less time as
is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway,
although it is anticipated that the works will be completed
by Thursday 25 September 2025.
