Eaglesham Road to Peel Park Place, East Kilbride, Temporary footpath Closure Order No. 1 2024

South Lanarkshire Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and of all other enabling powers, has made the following Order:- This Order may be cited as “South Lanarkshire Council, Eaglesham Road to Peel Park Place, East Kilbride, Temporary Footpath Closure Order No. 1 2024” and shall come into operation at 0001 hours on 22 February 2024 and will remain in operation until 2359 hours on 1 March 2024. The restrictions will be applied on site by the display of traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016. Whilst this order remains in force no person shall use the sections of roads specified in the Schedule below by reason of replacement footbridge works.

Schedule 1 - Temporary Footpath Closure – Eaglesham Road to Peel Park Place, East Kilbride

Footpath link from gable end of No 59 Eaglesham Court to north of railway bridge

Alternative Route

Footpath along east side of Peel Park Place to gable of 3 Peel Park Place, footpath through to Tennant Avenue, along footpath opposite 8-10 Tennant Avenue, footpath through to Eaglesham Road over footbridge, footpath along south side of Eaglesham Road to Hairmyres Roundabout and over roundabout to No 59 Eaglesham Road.
