THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(CARR LANE, NEWTON UPON DERWENT
(PART)) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF
THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the
effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing any
vehicle to proceed along part of Carr Lane, Newton Upon
Derwent approximately 700 metres between Carr Farm
and Beck Farm. The reason for the closure is to enable the
proposed collapsed bridge repair works, to be carried out
and completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the
safety of the public. It is anticipated that the works will be
completed by 30 April 2024. The alternative route for
traffic affected by the Order is via Carr Lane, Hull Road,
York Road, Wilberfoss Road, Back Road and Bull Balk.
The road will be closed to all traffic. The Order will
commence 1 March 2024 and continue in force for a
period not exceeding 18 months or until the works which
it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever
is the earlier.
