(EAGLE ROAD, SPALFORD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2024 (N24-051)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Spalford in the District of Newark and Sherwood. The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road:
a. Eagle Road - from its junction with Chapel Lane to its junction with Wigsley Road.
2. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
3. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From 00:01 hours on Thursday 29th February 2024
Until 23:59 hours on Friday 8th March 2024
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
Wigsley Road – North Scarle Road – Harby Road – Thorney Road – Thorney Road – Moor Lane – Clifton
Lane – Moor Lane – A1133 Gainsborough Road – Sand Lane and vice versa.
The Order will come into force on Thursday 29th February 2024 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months). The prohibition is required to enable National Grid to carry out low voltage cable installs.
