(Platt Lane And Bradley Lane Standish) (20mph and 40mph Speed Restriction) Order 2024

Notice of Making

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Wigan Borough

Council, in exercise of the powers under Section 82(2) and 83(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers, has made the Wigan Borough (Platt Lane and Bradley Lane Standish) (20mph and 40mph Speed Restriction) Order 2024 which will come into operation on 17th March 2024. The effect of the order will be to impose a speed limit of 20 miles per hour on the following roads:

•  Bradley Lane Standish from its junction with Avondale Street to its junction with Platt Lane.

•  Platt Lane Standish from its junction with Bradley Lane to a point 230 metres east of its junction with Bradley Lane.

The effect of the order will be to impose a speed limit of 40 miles per hour on the following road:

•  Platt Lane Standish from a point 230 metres east of its junction with Bradley Lane to its junction with Chorley Road.

A copy of the Order and of the relevant map may be requested by emailing d.rumsey@wigan.gov.uk. Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained therein on the ground:

(a) that it is not within the powers of Section 1 of the

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984; or the Traffic Management Act 2004.

(b) that any requirement of the said Section 1, or of Part III of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or of any regulations made under the said Part III of Schedule 9 or of any requirement of the 2004 Act, has not been complied with, may within six weeks of 8th February 2024 make application for the purpose to the High Court.

(Pennine Avenue Winstanley)

(Temporary Closure) Order 2024 Notice of Proposals

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant

Director Infrastructure and Regulatory Services of the Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to her by the said Council proposes to make the Wigan Borough (Pennine Avenue Winstanley) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024. The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a vehicle or causing or permitting a vehicle to be driven in Pennine Avenue Winstanley during the period of five days commencing on 15/04/2024 to 19/04/2024.

The alternative route for traffic is: Holmes House Avenue and Cleveland Avenue.

The Order is necessary to allow a new electrical connection.

(Hall Lane Hindley) (Temporary Closure)

Notice of Proposals

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant

Director Infrastructure and Regulatory Services of the Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to her by the said Council proposes to make the Wigan Borough (Hall Lane Hindley) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a vehicle or causing or permitting a vehicle to be driven in Hall Lane Hindley at Hindley Railway Station during the period of 19:00 to 22:00 on 04/04/2024.

The alternative route for traffic is: B5239 Bolton Road, B5239 Dicconson Lane, A6 Chorley Road, B5236 Church Street, A58 Wigan Road, A58 Castle Hill Road and A58 Bridge Street.

The Order is necessary to allow a frame and cover replacement.

(Green Lane Hindley Green Wigan)

(Temporary Closure) Order 2024 Notice of Making

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director Infrastructure and Regulatory Services of Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to her by the said Council has made the Wigan Borough (Green Lane Hindley Green Wigan) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a vehicle or causing or permitting a vehicle to be driven in Green Lane Hindley Green Wigan commencing on 11/03/2024 to 31/03/2024.

The alternative route for traffic is: Swan Lane and Alder Lane.

The Order is necessary to allow gas governor renewal & decommission of the old governor.

(Windermere Road Hindley)

(Temporary Closure) Order 2024 Notice of Proposals

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant

Director Infrastructure and Regulatory Services of the Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to her by the said Council proposes to make the Wigan Borough (Windermere Road Hindley) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024. The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a vehicle or causing or permitting a vehicle to be driven in Windermere Road Hindley for a period of one day commencing on 10/05/2024.

The alternative route for traffic is: George Street, Thirlmere Road and Ennerdale Road.

The Order is necessary to allow poling works. Dated this 20th day of February 2024
